We need more kids like this. It's sad that we had to find a kid like this outside of Miami.

I think that the chances of getting kids with this type of attitude from Miami goes down each year as the entitlement rises. I defer to those that know far more than I do about so florida kids, but through my reading of this board I get the idea that kids expect offers from Miami rather than celebrate offers from Miami.

Compare that to a kid from NC, who sees an offer from Miami as the Canes saying "we have all these studs here, but we want you". That means a lot.

Let's not fool ourselves. Even during "The State of Miami" we still didn't get every kid from down here. The problem now is what you alluded to due to a decade of mediocrity plus a lot of kids making "business decisions" with little blowback from the community due to the aforementioned era of mediocrity. Oh and Genron. I blame Genron. It is funny though how our brand may be more respected nationally by out of state kids than it is by some local ones.
