Braxton Berrios is the definition of a quick twitch athlete. Smart player, SURE SURE SURE hands, with ELITE speed and quickness. He's got a good head on his shoulders to top it off. I'm so god **** glad he's a Cane.
 
Haha wow, Braxton really put it all out there on that interview. Great job. This kid has always been a fan, that's not all talk I promise you. I will say once they offered it wasn't set in stone he would commit to the U, but they were immediately number 1. Braxton is almost back to 100% and on the field, so you'll have more highlights on YouTube soon! The guy who does his highlights has been exclusively a basketball highlight guy until Braxton. Braxton is the kind of kid you want to have at any program, of course he's talented, but with the GPA, leadership, swag and just the person that he is, he will be one of the top recruits in this class. Yes, the heel in my name is because I'm a HUGE Carolina fan, but now the U will be my second favorite team!

We had like a 10 page potato thread where some nincompoop was arguing Berrios was not white because he was a freaking Rican. Now he"s Cuban? Pete needs to clear this mess up so that all racist ****holes know whether they can root for him or not.

I think you might be misintrepreting the Cuban Linx reference. I am not familiar with the Raekwon lyric but I know Cuban Linx was also the name of a rapper back in the 90s.

That dream school comment caught me off guard. That's not something a person in general would say unless they read these boards.

Which is why we need to be a bit more careful when we decide to "spit venom" against recruits, their families, coaches, etc. They read this stuff and some of them take what we say to heart.

If they read these boards, then they should know that choosing some redneck backwoods school over your "dream school" of UM of which you're purportedly a life long fan and then trashing that "dream school" to the press will draw the ire of the hardcore UM fans who actually do love UM. Life's tough sometimes. When you turn your back on the family, sometimes the family will take your back and choke you out.
 
This is one the best recruit articles I've ever read. Too many quoteables to re-type. I hope he is able to live up to his expectations. It'd be great to finally have a slot guy who can get open constantly on 3rd down.

Braxton, you and Brad going to be greatest duo in UM history? WOW. Talk about setting the bar at highest level. No lake of confidence in you kid. Can't wait to see you compete on the beast that Al is building down here. Most on this board were on your side from you camp down here. Heck, some of us even wrote Al thinking he might have somehow missed you when you didn't leave with an offer. Oh, some of us got a little ****y when you started dancing with other schools, expecially OSU. But I suspect you will be worth the wait. IT IS GET TO BE A MIAMI HURRICANE.

pete you always do work but this one might be your magnum opus...my god I got goosebumps multiple times reading that interview. maybe you should just be the cosell to his ali for the next 4+ years, that boy berrios is a slump buster fo a column if i ever saw one.

and I gotta believe everytime i hear 'incarcerated scarfaces' from here on out i'll be thinking of braxton.
