#UCLA has fired RB coach Steve Broussard, source told CBS. News was 1st reported by http://Scout.com

The move is not completely shocking as UCLA's running-back recruiting has been lagging. In last two years Bruins have only brought in one elite RB - Craig Lee, who is redshirting this season.

Coach D and Jertho Frankin still coaching even though they brought in **** at DT.

Hire Telly Lockette to coach RB, move Hurlie to DB, keep Barrow at LB, get Kevin Patrick on the DL and Winston Moss as DC with complete control over the scheme.

How's that sound?

My hopes are that we didn't fire them after last season was due to the NCAA issue and the need for stability. But so far AG seems to totally accept mediocrity since he's been here. His fist mistake was keeping Swasey. His second was Keeping Donofrio another season along with Jethro and Williams. Will he strike out? Odds are against his decision making.

I'd give a few toes for that. My left goes if we hire a Kirby Smart type DC

I'd probably let Barrow go before everyone but D'Onofrio. He's done a poor job with our backers. He also has to bear some of our recruiting failures in Dade. Maybe he'll get another opportunity and move on.

You really need to make a new thread every time someone gets fired?

Good lord.

You sound stupid....

Barrow is the best defensive coach on the team that can recruit on that side of the ball.

The recruiting failures were mainly on Al Golden making excuses and the other defensive coaches inability to recruit.

Mora wants to win big and doesn't make excuses for his coaches. He called out this coach last year for being the only assistant without a recruit signed.

Fire jethro and Dorito ....

Barrow hasn't been great but is our ace defense recruiter... And Paul Williams seems to be our best position coach on D as our secondary has seemed to be the only thing at times not making me vomit on the floor and remember their all young guys all true sophs

Fire jethro and Dorito ....

That is exactly what I would do.

Bring in a DC who specializes in LB (Jim Leavitt) to help Barrow.

Bring in Tosh who is a great DL coach and IMO top 5 recruiter in the nation.

Keep Williams and Barrow.

Tosh is also assistant DC and is making good money. Yea he isn't a realistic option.

We don't even need him, Patrick would be a good pick up.

Patrick would be pretty good too, I am just pointing out that he is the beast out there.

That Assistant stuff is BS. Assistant HC, DC etc. The salary is what really matters, the name attached to the position is just "recognition."

I love if we got leavitt as our DC. He's the type of coach/recruiter we need. Brings a ton of energy

I am also looking forward to every coaching firing being posted on this board as if this has anything to do with anything relevant.

He is the Defensive Run Game Coordinator. I can't find what he is being paid but I doubt we could come close to touching it. Wasn't trying to be a **** but it's a pipe dream at best. His next move won't be lateral, it will be for a DC position.

Sark is heading to USC, it'll be interesting to see if Tosh follows

Just depends on if he takes Wilcox with him as his DC (or Wilcox gets the Washington HC job).. Don't think Tosh leaves for the DL position. (if Wilcox goes I would have to imagine he would be bumped up to the DC)
