Bowl projections

Saying Manziel or Bridgewater would light us up isn't pessimism, it's called being a realist.

No matter what we'll get scored on so I'd rather play a team with no D like A&M where a shootout is possible.

Thinking we lost before we even play a game is pessimism sorry! Truth be told this is all speculation.. still got two-three weeks left before we really know who we'll play.. sheesh we could end up playing LSU or Arizona state.. fresno state or N.Illinoise or BYU @ the end of the day but we dont know
 
I just can't put on the false bravado anymore. If we play UL or aTm, it will be ugly.

I dont understand how anyone cant see that this team is completely fried. they are DONE. the UVA game was just an example of miserably pathetic offensive team with NO QB. they still put up 500 yards and their backup QB completed 80% of his passes

False hope is my guess. But if we look at every game this season with the exception of Savannah State and FAU there is absolutely nothing that should make anyone feel confident that we could beat a UL or aTm or any team playing well right now. I got a nice dose of reality after the VT, Duke and UVA game.

Whether they would beat us or not shouldn't impact the desire to play the best team available.

Unless of course, Famous gets arrested and Duke wins the ACCCG, then you could really SYH.

Their defense is considerably worse than Miami's... Yes you read that correctly. (but they also have Johnny football)

Both teams would score 50+.. I'd love to watch it.
 
Playing in the Chick Fil-A Bowl is still a great accomplishment for our kids. It's a big bowl game, and considering it'll be the first bowl game for most of them I think they deserve it. Who gives a **** who we play, the fact that the 'Canes are back in a bowl like this is a huge step forward.
 
Also, who know's how A&M's mind set would be going into the game. There are rumors that Kevin Sumlin might bolt for an NFL gig or another college job and if he's gone we could pull off an upset or at the very least make it competitive. Those extra 20 practices will help our young guys.
