Regarding the running game, it’s like so many things in life. Yes sir. Football has swung back to running the game and physicality. Defenses got so much smaller and quicker because of spread / tempo offenses teams were like “well **** I’ll just lineup and smash you. Uptempo is fine until you can’t score or have three and outs then your d is on the field all game. Coaches now don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze now. Now it’s better to just do it to keep team’s off balance. A wrinkle .
