This is the type of stuff I envisioned in the offseason

Someone from the group of Lightfoot/Pickett/Rudolph/Cole etc would step up and play a few snaps and create some havoc

Was awesome to see because we are in dire need

Glad he’s earned his way into the rotation near the end of the season.

I don’t think he’ll ever be a 4-down guy here, but he’s going to make impact at this school as a pass rusher.

He just knows how to get home on QB’s.

Passing downs are exactly what happened for him to get the sack. Duke was down by double digits and HAD to pass the ball. Other than that, there are no obvious passing situations. What’s going to happen is, you’re going to want Pickett to play on 3rd and 14, and since he can’t play the run or set an edge, offensive coaches are going to run at him and give up a first down. And then you’ll be on the game day thread saying, “****, can’t believe Pickett gave up that huge first down”.

But **** did he fly around the LT!

Don't think I didn't see 44 put the RT on his heels hoppin like a bunny wabbit on rewind. Had his hand up, blocking the passing lane, leading to the blindside sack.

I actually think Anthony Campbell caused the sack, he destroyed the center and provided interior pressure, made Murphy drift back into Pickett. All together that was a great defensive snap by the DL

Watch it again. I did after reading your post because I missed the hand going up. But it was 93 who got his hand up in the QB’s line of sight.
