Plus it can't hurt with his brother DJ.
DJ is his cousin. But yea, you're right, it sure doesn't hurt and likely helps (assuming he has a positive experience).

Nah, he isn’t Marcus Robinson. That’s not a positive nor negative observation he just isn’t similar to Marcus Robinson.
I mean they have similar body types and similar play styles. I see how you could compare them. Of course Booker will have much better coaching & development once he gets here.

He bulked up a lot at Miami. He was pretty thin coming in. He was bigger than Booker but they are very similar IMO.
I don’t recall that at all. Robinson came in around 225-230, he always looked stout. Length was always a question for him like Pickett but he was no where as skinny.

You always, always need twitch off the edge. There are always room for those guys in the program.

Bring him in, bulk him up, and develop him for 2-3 years. Kid will be an AA if his development goes as it should.

They dont have the same body type at all. Marcus robinson was always jacked and top heavy. Likely came in about 220. Thats maybe 20+ pds difference with Pickett right now.

Andrew Ivins compares him to Chris Rumph Jr and here's his write up:

A dangly speed rusher that's full of juice. Racked up 60 sacks his first three years at the varsity level including 30 as a junior. Size hasn’t been verified in a while, but is believed to be over 6-foot-3 and carrying roughly 205 pounds. Obviously, will need to add some mass moving forward, but bloodlines suggest that shouldn’t be much of an issue as dad played defensive end at Miami while his uncle was an NFL defensive tackle. Terrorizes opposing offensive linemen (and quarterbacks) with an elite first step. However, isn’t one that just wins with his get-off as he’s already well-versed in a few different pass rushing moves and can swim/rip his way around the edge. Ability to dip and bend is extremely encouraging at this stage in his development. So is the fact that he understands backside pursuit and is constantly trying to produce negative plays. Biggest question moving forward will likely surround his future position/role. Seems destined to tack on muscle and settle in as a “Jack” linebacker in a 3-4 front, but might be able to eventually put his hand in the dirt and operate as a wide 9 in a 4-3 look depending on how his body fills out. Regardless, should be viewed as one of the top pass rushers in the 2024 cycle, and has the production to back that up. NFL upside.
PAUSE can we have some ******* semblance of decorum here please who refers to another man this way

Dangly?

I imagine he was looking for the word "gangly," but just isn't sufficiently lexicatious.

Robinson made plays here too. He’s likely what Thomas Davis would have maxed out as a player in the acc.
