Landon Collins got way too much hype for what he really was.

Neither are good coverage guys. Landon Collins is just a throwback to 10 years ago. He’s a fast thumper who needs to be close to the line of scrimmage because he doesn’t have the hips and flexibility to cover well. When he is in that role he shuts down the run and cleans up in that small area. Pretty good blitzer too. You can mask these issues at Alabama, you can’t in the NFL. If Collins isn’t moving forward at the snap of the ball he becomes a below average safety on that play.

Peppers is a great athlete with next to no football instincts. He actually has the higher ceiling of the two but Peppers is mostly a bunch of hype based on that potential.


My hope is Bubba has the football IQ and can beat out Knowles and Carter for playing time at some point this year.

I agree it’s not that extreme but a few posters on this site (a couple of big contributors too) have stayed pretty strong on the “Bolden will start soon” bandwagon. I don’t see it, I see him working his way in over the next 2-4 weeks but there are some much more knowledgeable posters than I who are pushing the narrative this guy is going to bench everyone other than Hall and do it as soon as he gets playing games. It would be great to see but I’m not sure it’s realistic.

A lot of people are building up a guy who hasn’t been a hurricane long, hasn’t played football in a long time, and started practicing with the team in August.

If he benches Knowles and splits time with Hall and Carter he’s still an improvement but not even close to the hype some are putting out there.

No i dont he was always a workout warrior fake sean taylor wanna be. And if he did anything in college it was because that front in the goods always as long as Sabans there. I watched LC the whole game on Sunday he got stiff armed by some white guy that never plays on the giants and he broke containment so many times. Peppers got in his face to and pretty much said u suck.....giants made off like fat rats while most fans (that dont know a **** thing about personel) complained when he left while i cheered. Peppers is by far the better player and way cheaper dudes making like 800 racks while Collins is the highest paid safety. Typical redskins move they dont know wtf they are doing

You probably think dbs outside of south Florida aren’t good, look around the country there are plenty of talented dbs elsewhere.. bolden is one of them...

Nah i know there is great db play elsewhere im just not high on him as others. Same as Tate I was higher on Jalen Hurts.

Talking about him being overrated as a pro has nothing to do with college.
