Man, I'm with you. We could win a national title this year, and the biggest thing it would do is secure bigger bags for kids that grew up dreaming of playing at Miami. Winning doesn't hurt, and it helps a little, but it doesn't overcome what other "schools" offer.So we went to the conference championship and UT hasn't seen a decent season since basically Payton Manning but winning is what will save us? Yeah that's it.
What burns me up is the NCAA allowing an uneven playing field. If all things were equal, we'd have a huge advantage, and THAT is what the NCAA is afraid of. They don't want Miami being able to keep the best players local, so they let other schools do whatever they need to do to secure it. It's reason #1 the witch hunt against us went on so long. Hurt UM, help the cheaters. I mean they have to, right? How would it be fair for UM to keep all that talent at home?
