Bogle visiting Tenn this weekend

So we went to the conference championship and UT hasn't seen a decent season since basically Payton Manning but winning is what will save us? Yeah that's it.

Man, I'm with you. We could win a national title this year, and the biggest thing it would do is secure bigger bags for kids that grew up dreaming of playing at Miami. Winning doesn't hurt, and it helps a little, but it doesn't overcome what other "schools" offer.

What burns me up is the NCAA allowing an uneven playing field. If all things were equal, we'd have a huge advantage, and THAT is what the NCAA is afraid of. They don't want Miami being able to keep the best players local, so they let other schools do whatever they need to do to secure it. It's reason #1 the witch hunt against us went on so long. Hurt UM, help the cheaters. I mean they have to, right? How would it be fair for UM to keep all that talent at home?

Grades are not an issue, I00 % sure, testing im not sure of - some people just are not good test takers

Fans overlook that narrative in these kid's RECRUITING, but that could be a very big factor.. I said it before and I'll say it again, just because a kid grow up in South Florida, doesn't mean these kids saw the Hurricanes as the top school!!

NOT SAYING THIS IS THE CASE, BUT IT COULD BE A POSSIBLITY, that's all I'm saying..

Maybe it's a conspiracy?

Gibbons kids (most of them) do have a sense of entitlement and fed with silver spoons, and many could use a good *** whipping. However, most of the better athletes are from Coral Ridge/Bayview area. Not sure of Colee Hammock?

Wait, most people are starting to realize that it not all about wins? Recruiters croot even when their team sucks. All winning does is give them more material to sell a kid on their program just like PT, facilities, pro aspiration etc. Right now we got a defensive staff that can't sell the program to elite players.

We need to stop being the nice guys in recruiting especially when most recruits play a bunch troll game. That follow your heart BS isn't going to get you anyone elite. This ain't the movies.

The better part of this is true. However most Gibbons kids differ from the athletes who get “recruited” to come to the school, a lot of whom come from west of I-95.

Had ****park and the lake, when I was there, but we always hung out with people from Northeast and Ely, dont remember very many fights. But I'm probally a lot older and the few times i go back i wanna punch those kids in the face anod their parents as well.

All good brother no worries. Gibbons football and sports in general has been on serious uptick in last 5 years. Daniel Wright, RJ McIntosh, Scalzo, Bogle and others putting Gibbons on football map. Not to mention some guys on the hardwood like Rowan, Morales, Brian Patrick, etc.

FWIW, I was told a while ago by someone at Gibbons that Bogle seems to be looking for the highest bidder.

If Bogle chooses UT (which I'm going to assume he has more than 4 functioning brains cells so it won't happen), then you have to a$$ume that there are other factors at play. Because UT ain't got &hit on UM even after our 10+ year program coma. The only thing they can sell is that they have an on-campus stadium (eh..) and they are in the SEC (they'll ride that horse forever). Other than that, their program is a soft &hit show.

So if he commits to them, then that tells me what he's after and more importantly what he's not after.

At the end of the day, its no big deal who signs or who dont, this regime recruits at a high level, so whoever comes in, itll be because we can win with em. We will get our numbers, but more importantly, we will continue to get talented d-linemen in here. Celebrate the ones that "pledge allegiance to the Canes" i dont worry about the ones that dont. The guys that are here now most came when we wasnt winning schmitt, but under good coaching they have helped to elevate this program, the ones coming in are the ones to take it to the next level!

I luv that this staff is only concerned with their own evals, not what the mel kiper jr. recruiting ranking websites who basically no nothing. If those websites want to impress me, start projecting and pinpointing low rated recruits by you who actually play like 5star players once they actually hit the real field. Before than, its mostly hype, the sad part is, when a so called 5star player****s the field and is not playing so well, these nerds, blame the player/s, how bout NOOOoo, your evals(or lack thereof)were WRONG aand STFU all the time!
