Bleacher report has us finishing 9-3, with loses to Nebraska, VTech, and FSU.
I agree with their predictions, except I think we win the Nebraska game if RW is healthy the week before (So that isnt his first game back). Unlike most, I dont see Duke as a threat when we play, but I do see tham as a threat to winning the coastal, especially if we lose 3 conference games. Also see VT as the hardest and most important non FSU game of the season (UNC 2nd most important). This season just feels different than last year, especially on defense.

UNC is overrated...Duke will revert to the mean. I also think the VT game will be our most important of the season. Could determine the Coastal Division. The fact that we have a bye week prior to this game and they do not makes me feel real good about our chances in that one.

I agree with the prediction in terms of W/L record. I just think we beat VT and lose to Louisville instead. hope I'm wrong.

If we lose to VT we have no chance at winning the division. They have the easiest crossover games.

I agree....our opponets in the Atlantic Div are FSU and Louisville. Theirs is Wake and Cuse. Big advantage to them even if we beat them bead to head.

We have a bye week before VT...we should be rested and ready for that game
Yeah our bye weeks dont get any better than they are, leading up to our 2 biggest games.
But honestly i dont think id have us losing to VT if we werent away on a thursday. Big home field advantage for them IMO.

OP: why do you think that RW is a difference maker? what have you seen that leads you to believe that?

You'd prefer to lose to a Division rival?

Where did he say he "preferred" anything?

He said he thinks we beat VT and lose to Louisville, but he hopes he's wrong, which means he'd prefer to lose to VT and beat Louisville. VT is in the Coastal. Louisville is not. His post says that he'd prefer to lose to a division team (VT).

Not trying to be negative, but for last ten years we always assume games like wake, UNC, Duke, Virginia are cake walks. We have lost at least one of those every year and and sometimes even 2. Last year we **** near lost all of them.

I'm sorry, I would love to think 10-2 is in the cards but has everyone forgotten that we have no reliable QB, an offensive line that is being dominated by our first team defensive line (think about that), no depth at LB and effin Mark D'Nofrio as a defensive coordinator?

I said I hope I'm wrong because I don't want to lose to either team and don't want to go 9-3. I dislike VT as much as anyone

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?

Why can't people believe that we have a lot more talent on D then last year? Our Dline lost a few pieces but guys are a year older and the JUCO and freshmen have to make contributions. I don't buy into the "We have no depth at LB" TBH Golden has this idiotic thing about putting guys in with no talent I would rather see our rotation at 5-6 guys. We return our best two corners (that I would rank at or tied at the top of the conference) and we all know what a massive upgrade a heathy Bush, Crawford, and Carter will do at the safety spot.

Not sure if I'm in the minority here but I'm definitely more worried about that VT game than going to Lincoln.
