Is there anyone out there that feel Shannon is an abortion and also thinks Golden is a bad head coach? I'd have more respect for that person then someone sticking up for GD Randy effing Shannon......a terrible coach on all levels. The criticism of Golden is valid but the support for Shannon is mind numbing. Funny how some of Golden's most vicisous critics are on here supporting Randy.

The free market has spoken and he can't even pull a mid-level DC gig.

Its not about supporting Shannon, its about the hate that people have for a true cane. But everything about their career here at miami is virtually the same. So if you want to say Shannon is terrible, by all meanas to this point in time, Golden is terrible.

By the way he turned down 1 DC job in Maryland the same year he was fired from Edstall, and I think he turned down another one, not sure on that.

All i saw from that is Patterson talking Randy up to make it look like a good hire to justify him coaching LBers at TCU. No proof there what so ever about Randy interviewing or taking DC positions other than hearsay. What kind of idiot would turn down 10 DC jobs in college football to coach LBers at TCU? I think you just proved my point about intelligence factors concerning Randy if that information is accurate, which i am sure it is not. All of this during a major drug scandal at TCU.

I agree that Randy is more Miami than us. And I don't think we should trash family members and he is one. However, our defensive weakness started when he was DC. Now maybe it was more because after Big Daddy, our DTs went downhill, but qbs and RBs running up the middle started under Randy's watch at DC and has grown the epic levels. I wish Randy the best of luck and hope he lands the job with the Ducks. That said, I would take a Randy defense over what we are seeing now any time.
 
I have a feeling he isn't going to "Blow them away the way he so impressed Shalala with his linguistic skills and Shakespearean oratory.
 
Seriously. Remember UM putting out the word that he interviewed so well there was no need for any other interviews?

Im talking about the articulate **** people keep throwing out there. Golden and no d can articulate but can't stop traffic in cops uniform

That's an awful fit. Orygun doesn't have elite defensive talent. It's good, but far from elite.

Couple that with his style and Pac12 offense... bad juju.
