Blake James

Easy to say "he did his job" and "shouldn't need credit" when so often we hear these stories around college ball. Yet, AD's, coaches, and other team officials just suspend the player or sadly sweep it under the rug. So in this case, James acted how an AD should act and swiftly. Even if it meant losing a potential starter. Which you know, to suspend a starting player, goes against the grain in today's current affair with CFB. jameis

this was a horrible crime committed and they admitted to it (supposedly) if he kept them on the team that would really make the university look bad

though i do think he has done a very good job with the athletics, but this was a no brainer move to do

Sorry, but there's absolutely nothing he did that any other AD in the country wouldn't have done in the same position. The accused, they admitted their guilt, something that typically doesn't happen. Had he not taken swift and immediate action, you can bet he'd be out the door immediately.

If this would have been our elite starting QB he would not have moved so fast.

Oh wait...we don't have a ******* elite starting QB.

Thanks, Al

Not actually that simple. Just look north to Tally and see how many deal with it. Maybe they do a better jog of teaching their animals how to avoid the punishment. Like get out of there, say nothing, and keep attorney on retainer. Sure Blake did what he is supposed to do and maybe nothing more. To say that other ADs do the same is to deny reality-- Rapist still has not even answered a question, perhaps you missed the PSU deal. ADs knew and did nothing. The fact that so, so many do NOT do what they are supposed to do, does sometimes require an at a boy when one does.

exactly. this was a no brainer. there was no choice but to dismiss them, given their admissions.

I have yet to see a SIGNED ADMISSION OF GUILT....nothing but a police report so far.

/maybe he hasnt done such a good job? maybe he acted too fast and had a knee jerk reaction?

//just saying...I prefer to let things play out first

The player who admitted to raping a girl up north was kicked off the team and the player who was never found to have raped anyone wasn't

I'm pretty sure the police doesn't post evidence online for everyone to see.
I'm almost positive District Attorneys would have a problem with that.

Things have played out, and done so swiftly.

Isn't one of Golden's strict rules, "do nothing to hurt the school."

I'd say drugging and raping a girl qualifies as hurting the image of the school, the team, the families involved.
**** it hurts everybody.
You can't say anything positive about rape...,unless you are a rapist, and even then you would know its deplorable.

While you're handing out suck outs for Blake kicking two violent savage rapists off the football team, I demand some plaudits for feeding my kids and buying them shoes.

I think Blake James has done a good job on balance but he's just doing his job here. Sure, maybe other schools may (big emphasis on the may) have been able to sweep something like this under the rug but those schools probably are also under the jurisdiction of Podunk police departments. I've heard a few very minor things Gables and even City of Miami PD have looked the other way on with UM but we certainly don't enjoy the same relationship as some of these hillbilly or middle of nowhere located school have with their booster clubs posing as cops.

Disirregardless, if these clowns already confessed then let them rot. Sooner they're forgotten the better.
