The Miami Hurricanes are 1-0, but the Hurricanes have plenty to work on in Week 2. The same could be said for the FAMU, who is already 2-0 and looking to pull off a shocking upset.

FAMU’s head coach, James Colzie, will bring his crew to Miami Gardens this weekend as these two in-state programs meet for the third time in history on Saturday night, with UM owning a 10-1 series lead.

Let’s find out more about FAMU.

Former Hurricanes will be getting carries at the back

Thad Franklin...

Norfolk State is picked to finish second to last in their conference which is very weak. This game shouldnt be in any doubt by halftime.

FAMU has been starting slow and Richardson has been throwing it into double and triple coverage against HBCU opponents with no int's. I expect that to change this weekend. They also could not stop the run against Norfolk State and SC state played well against them for 3 quarters. I love my alma mater, but we should have 3 scores early in the game.

oh 1000%. FAMU's gonna drop a couple games just by FAFO lol

Other position groups I can think of that are pretty good for FCS level are the TE's. FAMU has two of them IMO and we have a pretty good corner (I think) in Bohler. He's definitely a draft prospect.

Norfolk State ran up the middle with extreme ease. You could drive a truck through the gaps. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the RB corps finally breaks some big 60, 70, 80 yard runs.

The FAMU QB ran alot. He's not exactly athletic or agile, but he can get going pretty quick in a straight line.

#2 on FAMU is their primary weapon. Actually looked pretty impressive.

They had some success lining up their tightend #6 and running across to catch passes. Similar to how Cam McC. caught his TD against UF.

If they are going to score on us, it will be #2 or #6 IMO.

FAMU also fumbled a few times so their should be some opportunities there.

They threw checkdowns to the RBs alot as well.

This game shouldn't ever be in question, but they have alot of transfers in from bigger programs and can easily break off a big play if Miami isn't paying attention. The portal is allowing these lower division schools to bring in larger, more talented guys who couldn't crack the rotation at big schools (like Franklin).

They won because Norfolk State couldn't kick their field goals and extra points.

Gassett from round this way is pretty good as well. Him and Gross are the best weapons

If they score on us it better be there kicker after a turnover or very late in the game against our backups

Miami will win this game, but my alma mater will score. Richardson is better than the Florida QB in my opinion. Bohler ♦️will probably have a decent game.
