Screwed is a little strong. He is ultimately the one who threw the ball over Toral’s head and followed it up by allowing a three run homer to the guy with a sub .100 average. Of course, Gil should have recorded an earlier out but I wouldn’t let Slade off the hook.

Two of his big problems are tiring at 80-85 pitches and responding badly to errors, and we seemingly saw both of them there.
