Criteria is a based on Players, Teams, and Rivalries.

Also if you could put an All-Star team of each era....which Era All-Star team would be the best

Honestly, the 90s. I cut my teeth with recruiting in that era and that era saw all the powerhouses have great teams...

- MNWHS, CCHS, Southridge were all juggernauts at one point.

- Jackson/NW Soul Bowl was always huge and drew big time crowds at the OB.

- Miami High had some great teams in the 90s.

- Killian even had some good teams

Im shocked there isnt more games at Hard Rock.

Central vs Carol City should be at Hard Rock this year.

90s. The 1998 Jackson-NW matchups are the stuff of legends. The attendance, atmosphere, and the finish in the state semi can't be re-created.

I remember in 98 or 99 we made the playoffs at piper, we went down to carol city and got CRUSHED, the 90s for dade county were insane.

You decide....

The 90’s was a really strong decade for Dade County. You had a lot of good teams but MNW, Carol City and Southridge were dominant. Carol City and MNW were in the same district. They were all 5A, the largest classification at the time until 94 when they all moved up to 6A.

90’s State Champions
Southridge 91, 93 runnerup in 94 and 99
Carol City 96, 97
MNW 95, 98

The 2000’s were elite but it was more spread out through more schools in 6A and other classifications.

6A State Champions
Norland 02 they were also runner up in 3A in 2010
Carol City 03
Killian 04
MNW 06, 07 (National Champs)
MNW State runner up in 01, 08
Central 10

BTW won 4A in 2007
Pace won 3A in 2003
Gulliver won 2A in 2000, runner up in 2008
Belen runner up in 3A in 2009

You didn’t include this decade but in the 60’s, district rivals Miami High and Coral Gables won 6 out of 10 National Championships in the decade.

Miami High 60, 65
Coral Gables 64, 67, 68, 69

CCHS was arguably the best team in Dade for most of the 80s and into the 90s. They hit a lull, IIRC, towards the end of the decade but Frazier teams were **** good.

Between them and Southridge for the 80’s and 90’s.
MNW for the 90’s and 2000’s.

90s we're strong. In 96 alone they had 5 teams that could have all won state vs any other school in the state with Southridge, killian, Miami high, mnw and cc.

Remember also that there has been a lot of reclassification in the 2000's with the addition of 7A and 8A and teams shuffling through.

The 90's almost all the powerhouses were in 6A so it was competitive as ****.
