Best case scenario on how this class finishes?

I agree on Mauigoa. Why not get both?? I would take Flowe based on sheer potential alone. Is Flagg better than Flowe?? F*** No Flowe is better than Flagg based on potential alone.
Sure stack talent, but give me Mauigoa over Flowe. I think Mauigoa and Wes playing side by side would be a great fit more so than a 2 down LB like Flowe

I want all 3! I’m also biased because I was one of the guys obsessing over Flowe’s recruitment a few years ago I guess…

I think Mauigoa is pretty much a lock for us to get!

As far as DB recruiting is going. I know we’re still pursuing a CB. Does Antonio Jackson project to play S for us?

What is your BEST case scenario on how this class finishes out? I’m talking high school recruits and portal. Here’s my wishlist. Throwing Inniss in as the class shocker…

Recruits
5* OL Samson Okunlola
5* WR Brandon Inniss (Ohio State)
4* DL Rueben Bain
4* CB Damari Brown
4* S Conrad Hussey
4* RB Mark Fletcher
4* LB Stanquan Clark
4* RB Chris Johnson Jr

Portal
OL Javion Cohen (Alabama)
WR Seven McGee (Oregon)
LB Justin Flowe (Oregon)
LB Francisco Mauigoa (Washington State)

Add about 4-6 more portals and you’ve got yourself a list

Recruiting plus portal = a whole lot of spinach!!

McMillan from UF

Clark
Williams
Damari
McCloud

Agreed I was just naming portal guys off the top of my head. Tony Grimes at CB obviously he’s gonna be a popular product being a former 5* guy. The DL from Texas A&M and no not Shemar.

I would love to hear your logic on this
Because we’ve just been stacked with CB talent with guys like DJ Ivey and others in recent years right?

Granted we have a loaded DB class coming in with arguably the best CB prospect in over a decade coming in but that’s besides the point…

Take away his 5* ranking coming out of HS and think about what has actually taken place on Saturdays. The biggest play he has made in his 3 years of college was punking Dee Wiggins in 2020 to get that INT. He has been picked on and been getting roasted along with the rest of the UNC defense in **** near every game besides that one. I know UNC has looked like the 85 bears against us, but when they actually play other teams, their defense is awful, especially their secondary. UNC fans are happy to see him go and have been calling him an overrated bust ever since 2021 season ended. It wouldn’t be an “amazing get” IMO, he is just a big name but in reality he hasn’t been good at all.

An “amazing get” would be Davonte Brown. A kid that has actually produced at a high clip on this level and could come in and start for us right away.

Would I be upset if we took him? No, not unless he was the only portal CB we took. Physically he can come in and compete and add veteran depth in our room but we need much better and again, wouldn’t be an “amazing” get based off of his play thus far. We need better, much much better.

For the love of life I cannot see how people continue to mention Innis in this class. He’s been my biggest want at WR since last year but the kid has given absolutely no crumbs that are even remotely associated to anything positive with Miami.

Instead he’s said that we don’t offer enough offensively and has shown how much he loves OSU at every turn. If this kid picks Miami It’ll be the biggest change in sentiment I have seen in my near decade following recruiting. I know some crazy stuff happens but **** this kid has given us nothing.

Yeah would have been nice to have a good OC in place to try to change his mind. Instead Gattis is still ours.

84 players on scholarship this past season (if you include Brooks & UAB transfer RB).
- 15 players have publicly entered the transfer portal.
- 14 players have either declared, run out of eligibility/honored at senior day

This brings the total number of spots currently open to 30
- 22 HS recruits currently committed
- Assuming Hutchinson (P) gets put on scholarship next year, the current number of open spots sits at seven

If the rumored number of around 35-40 new additions holds true, that would mean 13-18 more commits (give or take).

This would also mean another 6-11 parents will need to come pick up their kids.
