Strongly disagree that he’s no upgrade from Walker, and I did want him, but… I still think we’ll be just fine. There’s no shortage of options still available.

I appreciate what Ruiz did in terms of putting up the cash, but he is pretty much totally responsible for that narrative. And the problem is our NIL budget was piddly last year compared to the traditional powers… despite the media narrative. This year we’re in a better place in terms of total NIL funds available because of the collective BUT some people/players think Miami will outspend everyone because of the media narrative. That has created some bad dynamics… including with some portal target(s).
