Our fanbase knows copium and what could've been all to well. It's the beginning of the end when you celebrate being 6-5 and talk about the other games you lost and how close you were to winning and how bright the future is... I've seen that story for 20 years play out badly...

I'm not as optimistic as others about the close personally. I think we finish top 10 and we spend very aggressively in the portal. Selling the falloff of FSU to the boosters is very easy...

We have had our chances with a lot of kids and we have held back and believe better ROI in the portal. I agree with that strategy mostly but that depends on our faith in developing talent. When you have a guy like Beard who can develop receivers and you give Sam Brown twice what Drelon asked us for that's a head scratcher. But we are 10-1 so I'll leave the negativity off the boards...

Thanks for the reply brother.I too am concern with the close as it looks tough to flip the 3 or 4 guys we're still after.All we can hope is they learn from the mistakes they've made.

The thing about it is with rev share coming and 105 players all bets are off moving forward. Recruiting is absolutely going to be unhinged. Mario has the longevity to keep us as a top 14 program thankfully as the playoff expands so I trust that.

I have stayed out of pushing kids here since Trey TBH. I obviously have a difference of opinion and the staff has rarely agreed with me but we are 10-1 so I digress.

And yet, I don’t think Billy is a good coach at all. Outspend them on the trail if you want these recruits that bad. Simple as that. They’re our biggest rivals, outspend them.

If the boosters really believe in Mario like a lot of y’all do, they should have no problem coughing up the funds after 10+ wins. Right?

2025 should be a really fun game and great for the rivalry / an amazing environment for recruiting.

Honestly this season is going about as good as it can get

Us at 10-1

FSU at 2-9

UiF has a lame duck head coach but they’re showing JUSSSSTTT enough life to kick the can down the street. That’s Miami’s M.O. and we know what it looks like

Someone else suggested rooting for FSU to win against UiF to give FSU some false hope and I don’t hate that either

Did they ever say whey they didn't want him? What was the excuse Measureables? Testing numbers? Price?

Safety play has been horrific this year. Not going all in on a player like him defies logic.

I don't want to be too negative and put too much out but yes they did say no thanks and it had ZERO to do with money. That's 2 out of 3 years where we had a top 3 safety in the nation (who both have blazing speed) gift wrapped to us and instead you see who we are trotting out there. I mean I guess Powell and #7 are pretty fast LMFAO.
