Beckham Shot Down Again

BUILD IT ON MIAMIS CAMPUS

Don't say crazy things like that, people may think it's possible. LOL.

I'm thinking we just demolish the campus anyway. Build the stadium on the newly vacant parcel next to the BUC and go completely online academically. The "University" of Phoenix could use a little competition.

An inflatable stadium on campus is the answer. It should come complete with inflatable fans to ensure sell outs.

And, oh the irony of an online university with its name on a state of the art stadium.

City is full of dullards. I won't say corrupt as much as incompetent. Scared conventional wisdom instead of foresight.

It's scary that Beckham's proposal is shot down, simultaneous to the apparent approval of Steve Ross' dullard proposal to patch a horrible stadium in a horrible location for $400 additional million, only years after the same incompetent venue received a $250 million patch.

In the late '90s, Jerry Jones planned to patch Texas Stadium. That venue was built in the early '70s and was the same age as Sun Life today. Imagine if he'd gone through with it, instead of coming to his senses and building a state of the art facility that will be viable and amazing for decades.

Ross ain't gonna spend a billion of his own loot to build a new stadium and he'll get no public funding. He's **** out of luck. He's better off leaving the stadium as is, try to build a winner and sell the franchise. As you said, a patch job on Sun Life is a waste of money.

No, "corrupt" is an appropriate description.
