Beau Sandland

Williams found him a lot. Morris likes to find Clive a lot. He's gotta find these TE's...a lot.

SM likes the outside routes more because if he misses a pass high outside it goes out of bounds, however miss high over the middle and its a pick. I do think they use him more this week . Ryan Williams loves the short and medium routes so he lives & dies with the TE's. If Williams gets in I don't he plays squared since he is a Florida kid also, an has been around for years. I look foward to Sandland having a breakout game.

Go Canes

He hasn't played much this year but unleash this mutha****a vs fsu. There is really no film and would throw them off. The guy is 6'6 255 and ran a 4.58 in juco. **** not being a great blocker yet and use him like jimmy graham and let him catch passes.

Do you really think the coaching staff is not playing him in close games against other ACC opponents to "save him for FSU"? GTFU. If they thought he was ready/ able to contribute his snap count would be higher than it is.

Every time a TE topic is brought up I get ****ed off about how little they're being used.

Walford only has 17 receptions and it feels like Sandland's only receptions have come in garbage time.

bro Walford is 2nd on the team in receptions

why wasnt anyone mad about his numbers last year?

I think it's safe to say the TE has been underutilized all year, particularly by Morris. Williams, not so much.

Clive Walford is 2nd on the team in receptions.....

The offense has been inconsistent, when that improves, Walford and the Wide receivers will get more opportunities to get the ball.

Again Walford didnt get any looks last year until the USF game, regardless Miami 7-0.

I am with you. Walford is a mismatch and other than his one drop (last week) has been darn reliable. In fact he made a clutch catch last week to help Morris.

It's up to the QB to hit him, he is out there running routes.

17 receptions in 7 games is nothing to write home about. And nobody complained about his numbers last year because he hadn't established himself as a reliable option for us.

After his coming out party last season I'd expect him to have a bigger impact on the offense than he has this season. 17 receptions and only two touchdowns isn't much.

He can be more of a factor than he has been so far.

While he had some good games last season, he had a couple of big drops (TD @ KSU where he set the ball to the other team) and Morris probably lost some trust in him. BUT BUT BUT that is last year and this is now. He is a different player, he has much better hands too. He is a reliable option now and he should be targeted 5 times per game IMO.

Walford is tough, he is not ****, he catches the ball and moves the chains. He finds himself WIDE open too and he is a big target which is good for any QB.

If Morris is gun shy over the middle, then a big safety-net at TE like Warlord should help ease his nerves.

The tight end is a quarterback's best friend!

I thought Sandland could have a nice finish to the season this year, maybe even out-produce Walford.

But I'm very pleased with what we have seen out of Clive this year so hopefully Sandland ends up another one of those JUCO's that takes a year to settle, before really taking off. He certainly looks like he has skills

Feels like I say it every ******* week, but Walford needs to be involved immediately. And if we are in any more 3rd and 4-6 and he is on the sidelines again, I am going to lose my ****.

Yep - the one hand stab was not only critical to a drive, but shows the game is slowing down for him and is transferring from the practice field into games.

We don't win this game without a big game from the TEs. It's one of the biggest mismatches in our favor and FSU is confident that they can stop our run and our deep game. Keeping them honest with a passing game to the TEs keep the ball moving. However, if these guys are open they need to catch the ball and not turn it over. Clemson's first play from scrimmage was to their TE, he fumbled and FSU scores on them their first play. We know the rest....

It doesnt make sense to keep saying the TE isnt being used enough.....

Clive is 2nd on the team in receptions.... he's at 17 but you all act like the season is over.

Does everyone expect the TEs to be the #1 option on this offense?..... this isnt a dink and dunk offense or a spread offense.

Stephen Morris isnt going to throw the ball 40-50 times a game.... if he did, Clive Walford and all the other receivers on this team would have more receptions. But since Duke Johnson and the running game has to get the ball 2, that's not happening.

Like I said he's tied for 2nd on the team in receptions, and he's not the only TE on the team either..... what do you all want S. Coley, A. Hurns, H. Waters, P. Dorsett, and R. Scott to not get any balls thrown their way and just keep throwing it to Walford, Cleveland and Sandland all game??

sorry but you dont know that..... it doesnt matter what FSU is confident about, you think they dont believe they can shut the TE down too?

Executing the gameplan and putting up points is whats going to win this game, all this bs about the TEs need a big game to win is just bs.
