Be patient

This bowl game stuff is nonsense and a ruse. Why does he need to stay through the bow game? So we can give up 800 yards to what will likely be a competent offensive team unlike the slugs that hung 500 on him every week?

Corch Al is supposed to be a defensive expert. He can certainly run the D for a lousy bowl game. Didn't Davis run the defense for the Sugar Bowl when Schiano left? The reason Duh hasn't been "fired" is because he's not going to be "fired". He's going to "resign" in order to pursue his dream of corching LBs in the NFL. Corch Al is going to try to help his dopey buddy get another job, and firing/hiring season hasn't started in the NFL yet. They'll try their hardest to spin this as Duh wanting to pursue other options so that he doesn't have his best buddy's blood on his hands in public.

No, it was Chuck Pagano. But I agree with you. Golden is not going to fire the DC unless he is forced to do so.

There you go. One NFL head coach leaves, and another NFL coach hads the reigns to another NFL head coach. 4 NFL head coaches on one staff with a two other CFB head coaches.

Are you saying you don't think D'Onofrio is a future NFL head coach???

UCLA had a bowl. USC had a bowl.

True, but Dorito is also Golden's good friend, gotta put that into consideration. Even if Dorito is fired, which unfortunately I doubt would/will happen, I think Golden would give his buddy the courtesy of finishing up in the bowl game.

You never know. We all thought Tim Walton was an idiot and way over his head. 5 years later he's an NFL DC, while his boss is coaching backers in Fayetteville.

The key thing with D'o is that he's a bad teacher of his scheme, not that there's inherently wrong with it. It works great on several NFL teams. The problem is he can't translate it to college kids and get them to run it effectively. So who knows what he could do in the NFL.

D'Onofrio is gone prior to Spring Ball. They may wait until after Signing Day, but he will not be on the staff next year. Barring a stellar performance in the Bowl game, D'Onofrio lost his job during the Duke debacle. UM gave Vtech 24 points, so they might have kept him if his defense had not imploded during Duke.

Texas A&M will destroy D'Onofrio's defense and Blake will fire D'Onofrio between then and February.

Golden has 2 choices: (1.) resign; or (2.) accept it. Golden's agent used the NCAA investigation "card" last year to negotiate greater pay for Golden, so Golden cannot pull any more favors. It is now solely Blake's decision.

Any assurances on your part that its a done deal?

Patience my ***.

Why would anyone delay making the only rational decision?

If it's demanded that Dorito goes, and Golden wants to go too - then it is what it is. At least that way, we won't have to pay out his contract.
