Hmmmm this defense has been horrible each week of ACC play. Timing may be suspect but he could’ve written this weeks ago and it still would’ve been true. Nothing here is incorrect.

For me, the VT game was the one that had me in stadium "oh snap we cant stop simple **** and have guys busting coverage wide open and guys getting to edge with ease" We got major problems.

The first half of the USF game I legit was like oh boy…this is not good

But the CiS porsters had me convinced USF was a juggernaut trap game so I somewhat pushed it to the side (sarcasm)

But we were woefully unprepared and undisciplined in that game and the fact that we weren’t ready for the next play immediately, repeatedly, was a huge red flag for Guidry

USF for me. if they had more talent, it would have been a back and forth game, but they really put the tape out when the little white wr went off on us and we just said it was nothing

Cal game is what made me sound the alarms. They had their 7...SEVEN.. longest plays of the YEAR against us up to that point in the season. Our DBs looked so lost by the simplest motion and crossing route concepts....

this is why you dont extend a guy off of one season. LSU was never going to hire him over Blake Baker but his agent played it perfectly and held us hostage. his room sucks (safety play got worse last year compared to 1 year under steele and steele was no world beater)

Appears that Mario Cristobal is not developing a high percentage of his starting 22 from the OL to almost the entire Defense! And where are the underclassmen, 23 and 24 classes specifically? Agreed. USF was just mind blowing because it’s like Guidry didn’t know what Golesh does on offense

I get that he’s trying to catch us off guard and it was gonna happen but it was over and over again and you got our guys celebrating while the other team is ready to snap

Anyway. **** everyone already knows and I’m just yelling into the wind but I just kept thinking what the **** are we doing? Especially coming off of essentially two warm up games

Barry and the Mopes taking a victory lap!!

We all know the defense has issues, what was the point of this hit piece? I know Mario and Barry aren't best of friends, but Miami has one of it's best seasons in 20 years to this point, and this is what we get from our media. This is one reason why Miami is a very unique job. Georgia, Alabama, Clemson you won't get this from their "writers". The mopers who love to complain just eat this up. Facts bro, no lies told bro, spitting bro..

Bain was out for half the season with an injury. Mauigoa is nursing an injury playing through it. He is also having to not blitz as much because of secondary issues. Porter is having to play Nickel because of Brown's injury. Barron is on his career path. He is a good player, and I think he is chasing stats freelancing some. Cooper has regressed, don't know what is going on there.

Obviously, the defense is a major issue we all know it at this point. I am not sure what the hit piece purpose is? Why put the Booger comment in there? He is a SEC BLOWHARD whose own alma mater looks way more unprepared than Miami. That is a joke.

Guidry units needs to play better, and he hasn't done a great job this year. Also in regards to playing zone, we rushed 2 droppped 9 against Louisville in zone, and gave up a 28 yard TD pass on 3rd and long. We also played zone when Cal hit a big play against us.

I think we could mix some in, but let's not pretend that we are going to be signifigantly better playing zone over man.

Considering Barry Jackson usually writes the most milquetoast, uninformative articles on UM football, I have to assume someone put him up to this. He’s never had this much detail. His UM stuff is usually bare bones, every casual fan knows this, kind of stuff.
