Bama roster - South FL players

People on here crying like they dominate us for our own recruits is funny. That list just shows it. Yes they have gotten the elite WR most years but not much else. Teams are always going to try and raid south Florida with gifts, cars and cash. We just need to get 90% of our main targets from south Florida. We will never get them all and the will end up at random SEC schools. If we can hit 85%-90% each year we will be fine. We will lose 2-3 each year and there is nothing we can do about it. We got to focus on the rest.

Are you on crack?

Every one of those guys was recruited hard by Miami (except Cowan) and the overwhelming majority have proven to be uber elite football players

You all realize that more than 300 kids go to D1 schools just out of the tri county area??? The odds are pretty favorable that some of them will end up at other schools.

What are you talking about? They are cherry picking the elite players they want. They all had UM offers and were absolute takes if they wanted in any class.

I actually prefer heroin, but when has Miami ever shot 100% in a class for south Florida elites? Never. Why is everyone acting like this is something new??? Miami never ever ever will get every Top kid the prioritize. Ever! Get over it.

I’m talking about what I said above. We will never get every top target we go after. Period. It’s never happened before and it definitely ain’t happening now with the amount of cheating the $EC does.

Miami hasn't been but when are they going to start...OSU and Bama does it in our own backyard.

This cant continue to be the mantra.

That's high isn't it? It's like 350 in the whole state i believe. 100-150 in tri county I'd guess?

Bama doesn't care where a kid lives as long as he is elite. They will go to Alaska to get a kid

Not sure if Miami ever will get to the point they can lock everyone down. Recruiting has changed so much with national television rights, perk$ of other schools etc...is there a reason they need to stay home and play for Miami anymore besides what everyone says should be pride? Schools are giving family members jobs and travel expenses so going out of state doesn’t really matter anymore. There a no longer hidden gems like in the 90’s now that you have ESPN and 24/7 pumping out recruiting events. The game has changed and I don’t fee Miami will ever be able to get fully back ahead of it. That’s just reality. We can still win championships without locking down every elite guy in South Florida. There is talent all across the country that a great coach can win with.

I don’t remember the numbers from last year but I’m pretty sure it was like 300 who went D1 all levels I believe. I could be wrong, but either way what I’m saying is it should impossible to lock the top 15 down every year. Kids are transplants to the area or don’t care about Miami cause they have never really seen them win. Nowadays with highschool kids transferring at an all time high just to play on the best teams, what do you think is going to make them not do that for college?

Everyone as in the top 15 players. It’s never been done before has it? I would need to do some research but it’s not worth my time. Once Miami boosters start giving families jobs, cars and cash.....then we will start keeping everyone home.

We should grab 80% of the top 15.

& Miami boosters should’ve been doing this. They’re long overdue.

For real? Well we agree then my good man!!!!!!!

I just said I don’t think we will ever be able to keep all 15 year end and year out. Some of these kids listed as south Florida recruits are actually transplants from transferring into the school systems. They have no loyalty to Miami. Richt is going to change this. The way him and his staff hit the Optimist parks and are in the community, it will change it just takes time. Miami has been a dumpster fire with 3 terrible coaches in a row plus probation. We are still digging our way out of that.

He has to win and win big or those visitis to the little league parks are futile...remember this is south florida so unless you're giving them something...gonna have to win BIG!
