I can remember those days. From whom did we steal Adam el Gammal?
It turns out the answer was Cincinnati, which at the time probably seemed like a pretty good program to steal a prospect.
Reading his "Class Impact" post, this was under 'The Team' section:
"Like I’ve discussed a few times recently and as most are already well aware, Miami’s tackle depth is abysmal compared to top level Power 5 teams. Tyree St. Louis is gone and while he was no savior, he won’t be easy to replace either. Kennedy grad transferring in was a godsend, and with his experience, he’ll have the first shot at replacing St. Louis. Delone Scaife probably shouldn’t have played much as a true freshman that didn’t really have the strength you’re looking at the Power 5 level. He started at RT with mixed results, and he’s really more of a guard type that is better suited to stay on the right side if anything.

Rising senior George Brown is coming off injury and barely looked serviceable before that. Second year tackles Kai-Leon Herbert and Zalon’tae Hillery have shown absolutely nothing yet. John Campbell was a true freshman this season and may have more upside than any of these names, but needs to continue to add to his frame and become adept at the mental side of the game."
It really was that bad, and not too long ago. I love how far we've come.

I know it says 5* I assume that is on rivals but regardless he is a composite top 100 plater and with OL being Mario's specialty and the fact he is at IMG that Mario has appeared to have made some in roads and clearly targets (Francis, Tripp, Wayne, Williams all from IMG)

This guy has over 30+ offers from the likes of UGA, Clemson, Florida, UK, Michigan, Bama, Wisconsin, USC, Texas AM, Texas, Penn State) so basically a vast majority of the top 15 schools and others that are known for producing good OL, is there a reason why we are offering in September? Did he just get to IMG? Late bloomer? Offer going out because we may lose someone? Interest finally being reciprocated? Basically this is one where I do think the offer was late which is extremely uncharacteristic for Mario and co., anyone have insight on this one?
