Not one to bag on coaches recruiting efforts generally....there is just too much that goes on behind the scenes to know the whole story. That said, this is just a massive indictment on coach Kul's recruiting. This **** is just not excusable. We should not be jumping on 3 or 4 kids this late in the game.

Kool got his top target in Nesta. He probably didn’t think Norton would jump to be a 5th rd draft pick. Also probably didn’t expect Johnson to bounce out like a little issue girl after 1 year. There isn’t a ton of top notch DT in the state of Florida so he had to throw out national offers. DT is probably one of the hardest positions to evaluate and recruit due to the supply and demand of legit prospects. Kool is doing his job. Stop complaining.

Even before the season people on this board and folks in the media were speculating that both Norton and McIntosh could turn pro. So if that caught Kul by surprise then he is clueless.

I have a feeling it’s going to work out well for us in the end because Rick and some other staffers pulled Kool from the burning building. But everything you’re saying is accurate.

Y'all don't know jack about what kul has been doing this crootin cycle. Maybe he had his targets and they chose to go somewhere else or his targets had already established strong relationships with other schools. You would think some on this board had coached on the D1 level before and have crootin down to a tee. Its a reason why he's the coach and you're on a thread spewing insults. Get out your parents basement and worry about how to do your job better.

The weak in crootin is crazy. Reading these threads is hilarious and sad at the same time. Guys have no life whatsoever so you blame staff or insiders for everything not meeting your standards. Do us all a favor and take the next 2 weeks off cis. And then again, i dont think no one wants to hear your whinning then either.Sheeeeesss

Seriously, with your line of thinking is there ever a time to give any criticism about the home team? I’m sure you thought everything was just fine under Radio and Golden also? Facts are this, we have a favorable depth chart that became even more favorable when Norton and RJ went pro. Couple that with Kul being such a great teacher at the position and at the very best one is left scratching their head. Lulz at that first paragraph, if that is what happened well then, Kul got outright beaten for those guys, and that means Miami lost, are fans that post on a Miami recruiting website not supposed to have concern about that?

I think what a lot of people are questioning is the effort Kul gives to recruiting. Nobody is questiong his coaching. Not all, but most on this board arent questioning his results (i'll wait till after signing day) and realize you cant make/force a kid to sign with you. But what Kul can control is effort and execution..that is what I think some are more questioning. It seems like he is the type to be a sniper and identify only his top targets and put all his eggs in that basket. But with recruiting you need to establish relationships with a lot more and have a Plan B, C and D, so if you cant get Plan A, you arent scrambling and trying to establish a relationship with a kid in 1 week.
