Did you hear the story for 30 for 30 how he call Mel and told him how they should go to UM and start that they we all came to love.

he was the first big time recruit to come to The []_[]. However, i'm referring to his attitude. He was the first bad ***. His demeanor/DNA is pumping through EVERY Cane. Dare I say, without him, we never become "The U" as we know it today. IMHO

As a homer I'd have to say that everybody on this current team embodies the spirit of Melvin, Alonzo and Jerome.
Yep I said it. Not saying our team is as good as the 83 or 86 team, but our team's toughness and team first attitude, reminds me of the glory days.
Our coach reminds every old timer of Jimmy.
He'll even our punter looks like a spec ops operator.
