Avoid injuries & we basically have a 3 gm stretch

i'm not worried about ga tech. with our dline and lbs and al's gameplan, we should stop ga tech easily. can we stop w/ the worry over pitt, uva, etc? really???
fsu, va tech and maybe unc. if we don't go 10-2, i'd be shocked.

VT's front 7 is a monster. Should not be overlooked.

I think Bama lost a LOT on their o-line honestly... but VT does have a very stout front 7. They were without their best player in the secondary (Exum) as well. Any game in Blacksburg is not a gimmie.

I really dont get why people think uva will be tough. They replaced both coordinators and we all know when a coach fires both coordinators he is on his last leg. Both of their starting qbs transferred so they are starting their third string qb. I am not concerned about uva.

I know the transitive Property doesn't work In football but we should at leaat respect uva for what they did to byu and what byu then proceeded to do to texas...

Still think we win by 2 scores but uva is a team that always finds a way to beat us no matter how good they are

Overreaction is predictable, but please relax. A week ago everyone was overreacting because of the score against FAU. That continued when FAU played their next game. Now we are on a high from beating the Gators -- rightfully **** so. But let's be fired up for the win and realize we have a more important 3 week stretch than what was mentioned and that is right now -- Bye, Savannah St and USF....that puts us in a **** good spot to improve and work on things and the competition will get better every week leading up to UNC.

This could be really really good. But let's relax and enjoy it. May even be more fun that way.

we know this,

our team has the heart and talent to win all of these games.

We can't overlook teams like GT, VT and Pitt mid to late in the season. If we are ranked in the top 10-15 when we play them they will show up and GT/VT want revenge.

UNC I am not worried about at all, and here is why

We lost that game and every player thought we should of won it, we know that during high profile games, our team can stand toe to toe and we will go at UNC on national tv thursday all out.

the only way we lose any of those games (not including FSU) is if Morris has a horrible game.

FSU.. this is a toss up, they have good talent and their QB so far so good. he will have allot of bs games under hi belt to make him feel like he is a god, but we are all hoping Clemson game rattles them a bit

All this handwringing over PITT, GT, and UVA is amusing.

I'll be shocked and disappointed if any of these are closer than ten points.

OP is dead on.

I'm not even discounting UVA or Pitt. We're making steps in the right direction, but we're not at the point where we can scuff at teams like this.

Me neither. Savannah St. is the only one I am looking past. Not sure how long people have been watching college football, but ****** teams beat good ones all the time.

Our big advantage in my mind is leadership.

Remember Herb Brooks' line to the USA hockey team after they beat Russia, but before the gold medal game? I think we have that type of leadership that won't let us slip.

The game is in Miami.

This. Can't blame the guy for thinking it should be in Blacksburg though. We got lucky with two straight home games against the hokies because of the conference realignment

My only concern right now is us getting the offense fixed.

Until we do that, just about anything can happen.

UNC on the road on a Thursday night is a monster trap game.

Road teams on Thursday nighters always seem to play below their heads.

I brought that up yesterday but as another poster corrected me, we don't have a short week/travel that week. We are coming off of a bye. Yes it is still a very tough game but not having a short week is huge for us.

How? We lost to them last year, we play WF (not exactly a beast team) the following week and we have 12 days to prepare for UNC. This is not a Trap Game.

One might say WF is the trap game because we will be looking past them, especially if they have a bad record, at FSU.

We will likely be heavy favorites, will likely be a top 10 team coming into that game and it's really the only game I can see that will hinder Miami from heading to Tallahassee with a 7-0 record.

That screams trap game. Road game. Thursday Night (long or short week regardless), national TV game.

I disagree with this being a trap game, most of what you said would indicate a team that would be focused on their opponent.

Heavy favorites, I don't know.

Top 10, very possible if we win our next 3.

This is a game that we have 12 days to prepare for and an inferior opponent the following week. In addition, we lost to UNC last year. This team has a lot to play for AND it will be on Thursday Night on Prime Time TV.

You want a trap game, it is Wake Forest. Wake Forest is a team that could be pretty darn bad and Wake Forest comes the week before FSU (biggest rival). That reeks of trap game. Inferior opponent with a big time opponent on the horizon.

The UNC game is not a trap game and that makes little sense with all of the above.

Agree to disagree.

i'm not sure why everyone is playing down vt because they are "the same team as last year." last i checked, we return more starters than they do and we're a completely different team.

People are forgetting we havent played our best game yet

Bush will help the D even more

Edwards missed camp parts & will be ready by oct

Coley will be ready too finally

Burns will help in dime packages vs unc tough quick release offense

Ga tech dont stand a chance against our front 7. Maybe they pop a big run or 2 due to blown secondary but i think we win that game 31-17

Remember, unc gets rid of the ball quickly. Itl come down to tackling & handling their uptempo. Unc is a game where well need help from 2nd string dbs & lbs

Va tech will be the exact same game as uf, plus remember we play fsu the week b4 & its possible our guys will be hurting. Think bama facing a&m at home a week after an emotional road game vs lsu.

Duke, UVA, & pitt will scrap us just because theyll be fightin for bowl eligibility at that point in the season. We get an early lead on any of them & its over

This is just for fun

But to me its a 3 game stretch that will determine our season. Anything less than 10 wins is unacceptable now that we beat uf
