Those 3 games are our season. UNC will test our pass d cuz they get rid of the ball quickly. But their secondary is garbage. But itl b close cuz night weeknight away game. FSU is FSU but u never know in rivalry games. Va Tech dl is just as good as uf so thatl be kinda close but itl depend if we have fsu hangover.

Savanah, USF, Wake will be easier games than fau, write that down. Those squads would lose to fau

Ga tech might b tough but no way golden allows a let down


Late november stretch of duke, uva, & pitt will depend on how healthy we are. If healthy those games are over by 3rd qtr, if injuries we might struggle but will still win

I think we cant discount GT. We have been losing a few games like that one for what seems like forever now. I agree we wont lose to them but its not impossible

Also VTs DL is nowhere near the Gators
 
Virginia is not a gimme. Especially if they beat BYU because the BYU team I saw crush Texas was tough as nails.

If we lose a game(outside of fsu) it's going to be away at unc. We'll be going in highly ranked and undefeated most likely which is normally great but **** do we always find a way to lose to them.

I also think that people are not giving Virginia Tech enough credit. Sure they aren't the Virginia Tech of old but other than some special teams mishaps, they would have been in that game with bama. Bama isn't known for offense I know but neither is Virginia Tech, and vts defense played just as well as bama if not better in that opening game
 
VT's defense is for real, that's going to be a typical Miami-VT battle, nothing less. With the let downs we've had the last decade I can't believe guys are chalking up W's before hand.

I'm not even discounting UVA or Pitt. We're making steps in the right direction, but we're not at the point where we can scuff at teams like this.
 
we will know a lot more about this team after GT...discipline defense..we should be a top 20 Defensive unit with Morris and gang back on track..We beat GT and USF this team with be beaming with confidence and we should have no issue going into UNC and getting a win...again the D has to play lites out for tough road wins
 
GT, UNC, FSU, VT, UVA, Pitt will all be tough games. Like WTH said, we're not to the point of overlooking most teams.

Several tough games left, we still don't really know who this team is and probably won't for a few weeks. The season is very young, let's see how teams start to develop.
 
Can't take any for granted. Years since we beat UVA. NC is always hard for us. VT is VT. Al knows how to defend GT but still dangerous. We know that our D can know tackle. That has been our biggest problem. They got some picks, another problem solved. Got pressure on QB we haven't seen in years. Like to see better coverage but if D plays this way we can win the rest. Against any but the fastest and best D's Duke will run crazy.

We all know in the past that we could find a way to lose to anyone. Something about this team tells me it is different. It is on a mission. It has paid the price. It wants the reward it deserves. It has leaders everywhere and young guns pushing everybody. Is anyone affraid on are backups coming in now? Fig cames in and Bam!. Highsmith comes in and stops what would have been long TD run and recovers the onside kick. Anyone worryied if Artie has to step in? Did it matter what Dlinemen was in Saturday? I can feel Grace chopping on the bit waiting for a chance. Don't you think Carter is dying to lay a lick on someone. Think Coley is going drop another pass? The greatest thing is that no only did we beat the gator, but Al could do it without exposing our freshmen. Not only were they not beaten up, now they are straining on the leash to get on the field.

Sure something can happen, but I prefer to enjoy the moment and believe we will be in Pasadena against Bama as huge underdog. My money will be on our new Canes and our new Howard. Watching this team in the 4th quarter be stronger than it was in this first said much. This is the floor for this team. It will get better each week. We have not seen its best yet. Al will be building not repairing each week.

The only game I'm worried is the next one. It only takes 1 bad game for the season to go wrong. You guys must have been at a different u*** game then me . We didn't dominate that game. We truly won't see how good this D is till GT. FAU, U***, Sav St and USF don't have good O's. I'm very happy being at 2-0 with a win over U***, but this team hasn't played their best football and to say its just going to happen and marking Ws isn't a good idea
 
In terms of difficulty, here is what remains (Hard to Easy)

1. @ FSU


(TREMENDOUS GAP)


2. @ UNC (not because they are great just because on the road on Thursday night, both teams come of a long week)

(DECENT GAP, 3 and 4 could flip)

3. VT (but they are about the same team we faced last year)
4. UVA
5. GT
6. @ Pitt (they are not good but it is a road game and probably the most difficult game left after GT)
7. @ Duke (Starting QB is down, may not play against us)
8. WF [5-7 (3-5) last year]
9. USF
10. Savannah State
 
I really dont get why people think uva will be tough. They replaced both coordinators and we all know when a coach fires both coordinators he is on his last leg. Both of their starting qbs transferred so they are starting their third string qb. I am not concerned about uva.

We just need to take it one game at a time, not overlook anyone. That's how you end up stepping on landmines. This teams NEEDS to get it's s*it together offensively, or we are f*cked. Literally.

It's not that the game is tough, in fact if you just picked it randomly out of the schedule it seems to be one of the easier games. They had our number the last few years, but the games in the past have very little impact on this game. Our team is different, the game is at home and we have a defense with maturity, depth and talent.

VT's dl absolutely manhandled bama's oline. They destroyed them. Who knows if they are as good as UFs but they will be tough.
