There will be a learning curve for him, but playing the position this year would really help his development IMO.

We have not seen a single guy who was strictly a pass rush specialist in HS playing WDE to develop into a quality LB here.

Really hope that Patrick Joyner and Sam Brooks can do what MRob, McCord, Mike Smith, McCray etc.. couldn't do.

Nice. Great prospect. Love his frame, length and athleticism. Gotta start pulling in more LBs with these types of measurables.

He played against some good teams last year. Cardinal Gibbons, Chaminade Madonna, University School, Belle Glades Central, St Pete Lakewood.
The year before he was at Gibbons...so yea hes been going against top notch talent.

We need to build that STA, IMG, and Heritage pipelines. I say take all the STA linebackers, we only took 1 last year so no problem with grabbing a bunch this year.

His sophomore year hudl at Cardinal Gibbons looks better imo but here's his junior year hudl. One thing for sure, he catches everything.

Payton is also just a great athlete. Remember, he's a pretty good basketball player too.

I agree that really shows up on film if you compare the two

Is there any potential for Huff moving inside to play Mike at the U? He's go the size for it! I have a feeling that Pierre will decommit from the U at his next Gator visit later this month.

Isn’t Brooks more of a pass rushing specialist? He can play in space and cover like Huff?

Ok so maybe I am missing something..why are people complaining about us not getting him if he has an offer? Sounds like the ball is in his court then. (BTW, if its not commitable, I don't consider that an offer)

Naw..there's posters that DONT WANT HIM. They dont think he is good enough to play here.
The ball is in his court. Dugans went and offered him. He has offer from the big 3 so i expect a battle.

He related to the Mccrea's. Also my boy Briel who passed away they called him Kidd IN Carver Ranches. Huff played for the Bucs as well ..he a real Ranches Kid.

This is my first time hearing this that he was offered. Fair enough.

yeaBrooks mostly play defensive end. This Huff played all over the place at MCA. Even lined up on offense. He's more smooth in space.
Brooks has playyed lb some in camps and stuff...Hes A1 going down hill. Brooks is HYPER athletic though, quick twitch, before the injury. Smaller Willie Williams type if you remembered how Willie played
