Austin Barber

He'll be getting reps 1st year and so will Rodriguez. McLaughlin not till year 2. Extremely happy with the 3 we have and just not enamored with Austin.
I'm telling u only way those 2 see the field is due to either mass injury or portal exits. Along with blowouts. They won't see a meaningful snap.We have multiple people who are in front of them they aren't gonna pass navaughn, clarke, campbell, gaynor, scaife, reed, rivers in year 1

This kid should be a take we are paper thin at tackle. We have zion, walker, and Washington as guys who are truly tackles.
Rivers and Walker were the best tackle prospects in the state last cycle. Rivers will start next season at RT. His wingspan and athleticism are off the charts. Walker was ineligible this year but will have time to reshape his body. Tackle is not thin in any way shape or form.

I know numbers are tight but kid seems to be able to play and he wants to bury people. You need kids like this.

Right now Gaynor is the only lineman who has to attitude to pancake someone and unfortunately he just isn’t big enough or strong enough to do so. The rest of our line is weak and only go at pass protect.

sign this kid up and give him a shot at right tackle next year.

What "facts" lead you to believe we have a deep oline. When most games this year we've only rotated 6 and one of those is leaving. I haven't seen snap counts on every game but we had a game this year where the OL with the 6th most snaps had 3 snaps all game. But somehow we're going to be deep next year?
What on earth does this have to do with depth? Teams with deep OLs don’t rotate them every drive to keep them fresh. Did you just start watching football?

Watching Trinity Christian vs Chaminade and Barber looks legit. Good size and frame. He’s going against Jamaal Johnson and Kenyatta Jackson on every snap and playing really well. Moving guys in the run game and very strong in pass pro.
where you watching?

We've been playing musical chairs at OG all season, did you watch any games this year? No solidified backups at any position except C. Yall all hopped up on potential when you've already watched guys like Donaldson and Scaife who were "sure things" fall on their face.

Normally, OL and DT recruits don’t make an impact until years later because those positions take time to develop. When you see fans expecting a true freshman like Barber to come in and make a difference right away, especially with that OL coming back next year, tells me they have no clue what they are talking about.

Good post, none of our current signees should see the field next year unless we are in a Duke type game. Seymore might see the field in year 2.
