Augustus Edwards-RB

Runs a little upright, doesn't get behind his pads.....does look like he has good feet, and pretty good speed.

Don't see this kid as more than a plan C type....if we miss on Collins, and HAVE to take a back I think he might be slightly better than Woodly/Chestnut/Tice.

Not the same type of back. Dayes doesn't fit a need.

The "need" is a good running back

Clearly the need is a good running back with size. Its been who've they've targeted the entire process. If he is actually 5' 8'' like some sites report then he isn't what they are looking for. His highlights suggest he is actually bigger though
Rivals has him at 6'1 222, thats generally what i have seen on the other sites....

Dayes is reported to be 5'8" in some places. I know Edwards is a bigger back. Its probably part of the reason there is some interest.

Big kid, has a fast time associated with him, possible good compliment back for goalline.
6'2" 221 4.58

If we were looking to take this kind of kid, I'd perfer Lorenzo Woodley. Just my opinion tho

We filled that role last year with Danny Dillard that arrived at UM on the first day of fall camp.. He’s 6-foot-2 and … maybe 218 pounds with sub- 4.50 speed. So he can carry the load on some of those short-yard-type plays. I don't think Duke Johnson will stay more than 3 years at UM.

We need a Short (i.e. 5-11 or less) speed guy that can turn the corner like Alex Collins
