Auburn Claiming To Be 1983 National Champions

As of today, Auburn athletics' official website now claims three additional national titles, to go along with the two they actually won.

The NCAA recognizes Auburn as National Champions in 2010, 1993, 1983, 1957 and 1913.
This is especially funny because the NCAA itself doesn't recognize national champions from Division IA/FBS.

A (thin) case could be made for those new 1913 and 1983 titles, because retroactive computer rankings are every bit as imaginary as any so-called "consensus," but claiming the 1993 championship is wonderful: Yes, Auburn went undefeated that year, but didn't have a shot at a title because it was ineligible for postseason play.

I would like to claim 1986 where we won the Rothman (FACT) poll, 1988 where we won the Berryman (QPRS) poll, 1990 where we won the Eck Ratings System poll, the New York Times poll, the Rothman (FACT) poll and the Sagarin Ratings, 2000 where we won the New York Times poll and 2002 because well you know.

We settled that on the field with them first game on the next season in the first Kickoff Classic. Wupped them and the gator (our only loss) in Tampa. They should remove the one they won with an ineligible QB in 2010.

This might be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. It's a little late to try and claim the title now.

Bama claims 15 but really have 10!!!!! Their SID wrote a book pushing more titles(15)! he even said I was trying to make my school look better. Bammers are complete idiots. I live in the state of Bama and the Gump level here is off the charts!!

they stole multiple ones from us. That one year we lost to nd, if they had replay we would have won that game and won another title in the 80s
