I know more than one south florida Gator that bought season tickets just to attend the game.
This is the dumbest got **** thing I've ever heard.
People that think Cane fans don't sell out stadiums because they don't exist don't understand Miami fans. Miami will always be an event town. Did the Marlins fill seats for the World Series? The Heat for the titles? Florida Panthers for the Cup?
There was 50,051 tickets sold for FAU, and the turnstile count was around 43,000 for FAU.
So unless a whole lot of UF fans bought season ticket AND came to the FAU game, the odds of them having a 50-50 crowd is literally impossible.
70-30 Miami seems like a logic percentage, 65-45 at worst.
