Attendance for the SSU game

And UM should send everyone who showed up a form to give their tax man for the donation. Spending time and money on that game was definitely a charity. I love UM and college football, but the games this weekend were a ripoff. Some will call themselves true fans for showing up to that abomination, but in truth only the marks and the charitable were there. College football is a business, I expect more for my money and most definitely for my time.

Wow. This fan base never ceases to amaze me.

It was exactly what you would expect it to be. Close to 40K, honestly it was an odd environment, hard to really get into the game knowing they were going to steamroll them, but my group of 12 went and we stayed till the last seconds ticked off. It's always fun to watch the Canes win!

//insert snide "superfan" remarks here.

As an aside: the crowd got loudest when Gus Edwards ran it in for something like a 63-0 lead. At least in my section behind the endzone. Pretty funny.

love the new thing theyre doing with the smoke in the crowd... pretty creative.. will be copied soon on other places

I left at halftime (just couldn't take the murder anymore) and there was a lot of people who were still tailgating in the lots who I assume never went inside.

Somewhat better than I expected but it really dissipated in the second half, far beyond normal for a rout game. Our section lost at least 70%.

I expected the announced crowd to be 40,000 so I guess that was close.

Student section wasn't as bad as others are reporting. They are more spread out now. The least of our worries in terms of attendance is the students. They have been dependably terrific since the move to this joke site.

BTW, ESPN/ABC ran a trivia question last night, asking which school plays its home games furthest from campus. Connecticut was the "winner" at 22 miles, with UCLA second at 16.7 and Miami the bronze booby prize at 15.3. I taped that Michigan/Connecticut game and watched it when I got home, without knowing the score. One change at Sun Life this season is they are no longer flashing scores of other games in the corner of the stadium. Previously they isolated an area for that and updated all game long. I kind of appreciate this switch, since I'm no longer focusing on that area and now I can tape and watch parallel games without knowing the result.

much better fan(atic)? compliment accepted.

Fivekunts actually values his time and money and is not willing to pay for a barrel of cow manure in order to line the pockets of those who run a billion dollar entertainment industry. Put on a better show, get better attendance. That's how the entertainment industry works. I love the kids as much as the next guy but when they are not being used as virtual slave labor, they are being used to pull on the hearts strings of the marks and the charitable in order to boost attendance.

Is sucked. Bunch of lame jive turkeys give the program a bad name. We beat the Gatas, and THIS is how fans show appreciation?

Student section was non existent. Shame!
