I live in Orlando...saw him play last yr...will see him a few times this yr..He is from Lake Brantley (my alma mater), which is a very strong football program in Orlando. Some of you may remember Lake Brantley from being in the state championship against Northwestern a few years ago. The LB head coach is a guy I went to school with in middle school/high school, we used to play on the same Pop Warner team. I'll let you know what I hear.
Yea hes definitely a great athlete....we saw CJ play db at camps vs top comp tho... don't get me wrong.....this kid is a take as a athlete...hes looks very good on O...I like the comparison to CJ Henderson as a prospect at this same stage. Added bonus that he shows physicality in his downfield blocking on offense as that will hopefully translate to physicality on defense

It also led to CJ playing db his senior year on the field....if Good doesnt play db on the field ... the Bethel comparison would be more accurate...imoIIRC that was almost exclusively after his JR year. Mostly during hte camp circuit heading into his senior year. CJ's junior film was basically all offense, I believe. And he looked a lot less inclined to play physical than what Good is showing.
With that said, I do agree that it would've been nice to see Good at some of these offseason camps. Hopefully he comes for Paradise Camp (like Nigel Bethel)

My point.....CJ had much more "DB" experience on the field and at camps than Bethel...."right now "Good would likely be be a project like Bethel ...CJ was ready to go the day he arrived on campus....my point has nothing to do with paradise....Nigel Bethel did not attend

At this point if I’m not mistaken they interviewed the Columbus coach on the cis podcast and he said he (cj) never lined up as a cb. I think they began to use him as a 2 way player his senior year.My point.....CJ had much more "DB" experience on the field and at camps than Bethel...."right now "Good would likely be be a project like Bethel ...CJ was ready to go the day he arrived on campus....my point has nothing to do with paradise....
That's what I said....CJ lined up at cb on the field and at camps to learn the position ....if Good doesn't line up his sr. season he would be more comparable to BethelAt this point if I’m not mistaken they interviewed the Columbus coach on the cis podcast and he said he (cj) never lined up as a cb. Coaches need to make sure this kids team plays him at corner this season. If not his team is doing him a massive disservice long term. He needs to get meaningful reps and have tape that the coaches can review during the season and help him work on his game. Gives him a much better chance when he steps on campus.

But I digress. We need this guy to commit. Physical fast with length. Rumph will turn him into a monster.
You may remember Good received an offer a few weeks back and we had an interview on the site with him as well. He's risen a lot on UM's board at corner lately and they're bringing him in for this mid-week visit tomorrow. I'd keep an eye out for a possible commitment if the staff decides they're ready to take it.
What makes you think he hasn't earned his spot?Agreed. Let him earn his spot.
