Matt Applebaum played on the OL while Terry Richardson was at UConn. He did video at Miami.

Thank you sir.

I thought we just lost a GA to a real coaching job? I believe he was a WR assistant...

Do you know what the new GA's specialty is? OL, TE, WR, RB?

He may have started as a video guy but he is definitely the offensive line GA at Miami.

we all should be worried about defensive x and os...all eyes and all hands on deck on that side of the ball...kehoe recruits tampa right? all good...dl and db all hands on, lb more to work with equals better results...carrol becomes passing coordinator type deal, national recruiter...al and mario at games and in living rooms through 2014...welcome to the U

Franklin (R): A lot of experience coaching DL, but I'm skeptical. Smart coaches keep hiring him, so maybe something's there.

Ive mentioned here before that I was an athlete at Fresno State with Jethro Franklin. He and I used to hang in the same circles. I can tell you that even when we were in our early 20's Jethro was very much a fatherly type of guy. He was an educator by spirit. I have no doubt that should have both a R and a T next to his name. Even though I havent seen Jethro since the late 90's, I have no doubt that his recruiting prowess comes from his (sort of) wholesome background and ability to convey that to kids and parents. His teaching background comes from him cutting his teeth on some very good Fresno State coaching staffs, as well as his natural ability to teach.

FWIW
