Asante Samuel Jr.

I haven't looked at all the CB (obviously), but back when i was looking at the 2018 DB's, Asante stood out to me as the best pure cover CB

He is smooth as **** and a ball hawk. Wouldn't be mad if he was in class..but we do got some big fish for next year

I hope this staff isn't too caught up in big cb's , and let great cover guys slip because they might not be 6'2.

Samuel measured out at the Nike Combine 10 months ago at 5-10 and 166--
he participate in none of the testing events
He ran in ONE track meet in his HS career that being the Lou Bing Classis back in February 2916 and recorded a 100m--11.39

STA has a good S&C program and it would not be hard seeing him at 180-185 pounds when he graduates and possibly 5-11. And that 100m speed at 11.00 or below that. if he runs track more consistently.

Would not be wise to write him or minimize his ability this early. In addition, we are not guaranteed the taller elite players previously mentioned.

kid just got done with his FSU visit, said they have a "big lead" and he didn't commit this weekend due to his mom not being there but he will return with her. Seems like the writing is on the wall that this one is over

I know his dad was able to make a helluva career out of being just 5'10 185 but is this kid hyped up just because of who his dad was? I havent watched his highlights so just going off of paper but 5'10 160 seems like he'd get worked by these big bodied WR's in our league now

He's by all accounts one of the better cover corners in Florida, so which means there a few better than him in the nation

Big-time talent that I'd love to have. But if we get most of the other guys we're after at CB, we'll be more than alright.

He's 5'9 I believe and I think we would rather add some guys with size because we already have two undersized corners in Young & Bandy.

We know physically he's not with the other targets... but how are his instincts. His father was a star and wasn't the most physically gifted dude on any roster he was on

Honestly I was impressed how fast he ran with that huge helmet on. Dude looks like he's wearing one of those old Budweiser grill helmets
