Samuel just retweeted my update on him from last night, for those of you interested in that sort of thing

Please god let our staff wise up and drop Jobe for this kid. We desperately need some corners who can stick their man all over the field, especially in the slot where his size would play perfectly.

I can confirm that Miami has been in contact with Asante Samuel, Jr. lately. A source close to the four-star FSU commit told me tonight that an official visit to Miami this weekend is possible as well. This person added that’s Samuel, Jr, has real interest in the Canes.

Fly Colbert in somehow. Close this deal.

So we exchanging Jobe for Samuel? I’m cool with that.

Pete said “jobe isn’t gone yet”

Jobe is visiting Bama this weekend then signing early next week.

He's gone and he straight up played Pete, which shows a lot about Jobe's "character" given how long he and Pete have known each other.

I thought he wouldn't eligible to sign early.

Anyone can sign early. Signing early does not mean enroll early.

If they want 6 DBs, you take Samuel now, then go all out for the Heritage duo. If somehow all 3 want in, you make it work

At least we'd have athletic bodies on special teams like we haven't had in years.

Would absolutely love to have Samuel, and we have to give it our best shot, but I give it about a 1% chance.

Everything about this guy had been all nole forever.

Sure, he’s looking around a little now with the coaching change to cover his bases like chick did when Randy was fired, but in the end he ends up in trailerhassee. You’ll see.

A horrible season, and losing a head coach will always play a factor in a kid's decision. He was all Nole, but we are trending up, while FSU looks like a dumpster fire.

This kid would have been "All Cane" if the staff was on him at all in the early going. He was not in their plans, but now they are trying to make it work.

People tend to not remember but Samuel always had both Miami and fsu as his top 2 schools. Fsu just prioritized him more.

Personally I’d rather go after Samuel than surtain who I think Goes to lsu ultimately

This is why a weasel like Jobe who holds your staff hostage with a spot all season only to flip last minute can be a dagger to a class.

Agreed, but the mess at FSU sure makes it more appealing to drop them. The stars are aligning quite nicely for a flip.

Only reason Samuel has been “all ankle forever” is because this staff never recruited him. There is a real chance if they decide to go all in for him.

Why is there an “if” in there? What are they looking for that he doesn’t already have?

It will depend on where they are with other targets.

This is the part I'm scared of. If this is all contingent on Jobe, then jump ship now and focus on Asante.

Samuel is a talent, get him and if Jobe still comes and Tyson/Surtain some how all want in... figure it out. That isn't a bad problem to have.

Asante > Jobe

Should have been after Asante from the start but if we end up with Asante in the end....good for us.

All Nole.

**** is positioning himself as a fake insider. He was claiming the full inside scoop on King until canes1775 **** him out. Now, he's got the dirt on Samuel.
K. We'll bump the King thread Friday when I'm right. Also please tell me how I'm some sort of "insider". I simply shared what a kid's dad that is in the know said. If that makes me an insider then where can I collect a check? Oh and we'll bump this one when Samuel signs with FSU, sorry I'm not a homer that thinks we're getting everybody like the majority of you all.

Looks like we're getting prepared for the jobe decommit.

Also, I’ve heard that Trajan Bandy has been very vocal with the coaches throughout the recruiting process that they should be recruiting Samuel. Game respects game

I just saw a tweet from Bandy on my feed that he has since deleted. He re-tweeted the Asante visiting tweet and said 'yea!'

Sauce is good.
