As we enter meltdown mode- a reminder, just two years ago.

That’s without Kavon Thibedoux and a host of other starters.

I care about this one a lot more.

Lol we ain't in meltdown mode. Disappointed at this exact moment, likely. I honestly think it's the hype letting everyone down to this point. Me personally, I'm just auditioning for my messageboardgeniuses debut.

Oregon has been better than UM for the past 20 years and continues to be. If anything, it gets continuously harder to link Mario to any ounce of success they had. They literally got better without him last year. We had our worst season since the late 70’s.

I don’t get what’s the point you’re trying to make
That didn’t even happen for a Miami team
But what did was …..

Mtsu 45-31
FSU 45-3
Duke 45-21

Wasn’t Mario’s team. 2023 will be. If you wanna be concerned, I understand. Those were some unforgivable losses. But a lot of really good coaches have taken over programs throughout history and looked awful in Year 1. I’ll choose to focus on his prior history rather than just 1 year here. Same **** happens this year, all bets are off. My money is on they will not.

Miami could have lost to both Virginia's. Closer to 3-9 than we think.
Year one with a bunch of kids that quit

And although that was extreme, year ones seldom mean anything. Especially when there is a huge change in coaching styles (CMC and CMD could not be more different)

Get a grip.

Absolutely, way too much hype.

Remember our “expectations” when we had the first coaching change. Players have to buy in…recruits have to get to know who is recruiting them now, etc etc.

Now, due to a debacle of a season I haven’t seen since arguably 1997, despite a few other bad records, we are shocked with an entirely new staff (almost) in one year and trying to replicate on the defensive side of the ball what our OL head coach accomplished on the offensive side the year before?

These aren’t excuses..with a $80 million contract, there should be zero excuses..but they are facts.

I think he’ll close fine, not where we want to be, but I’m just saying it might have been pie in the sky anyway given last season and the coaching overhaul.
