Artie Burns already Top 5 in the nation in 60M hurdles

But is he top 5 in his physics class? Isn't that what he's here for, I mean, according to some his incredible 1 in a hundred million physical gifts shouldn't matter to a university unless he ALSO can write essays on "A Tale of Two Cities".

Huh?

And what inspired you to take this thread in that direction?

Bc our admin does these kids a disservice and freak talents like this end up disapointing year after year rinse and repeat. When the same problems plague three totally different staffs it becomes obvious that our issues go beyond who is HC.

And it frustrates the **** out of me seeing how talented a kid like this is and KNOWING he won't meet his potential until his long gone.

So what does the administration have to do with the development of the players on the field?

Walter ran one of the fastest 110 hurdles in the country last against high school comp. Artie was coming off an injury or else he surely would have posted a faster time like he did his junior year. 110m is in outdoor season and I imagine both will be running it.

Ran a PR of 7.68 today. Second-fastest in school history. He is getting better and better every meet.

That doesn't even make sense

This could be fantastic news. I'm sure the NCAA is pondering a rule for next season that will place hurdles randomly throughout the defensive backfield each play to prevent defenders from getting running starts on their tackles.

thats awesome. I hope he does this well in outdoor 110m.

I thought Walter Tucker was running the 110m hurdles, since he ran one of the fastest times in US high school history.

Go Canes

Could be a weapon next year with that type of speed and ability Marcell Reece of the Oakland Radiers comes to mind. just wishing right now thought he must prove it on the field.

Tucker has a long ways to go

Tucker is nothing more then a filler. Don't expect much outside of special teams.
