Article About Alex Collins and his Decision to go to Arkansa

Alex Collins picked arkansas because he didn't want to compete with Duke Johnson for carries.

As far as I'm concerned, the strong survive, the weak weed themselves out. That's what Miami was built on.

Collins was a nice athlete that didn't have the self confidence to compete with duke johnson. Too bad. Next.

Gus Edwards would've forced Alex Collins to redshirt then transfer anyway so let it go ppl, Miami ended up better off anyway.

We have an elite RB who is only a sophomore, a 6-2 225 pound true freshmen who looks promising, and one of the best RB's in the 2014 class committed. Yet Alex Collins, who cried at the thought of having to come to Miami, stays in the mind of some of you. WHY?

I like the kid.

Lol, do you have anything to back that up?

Kid said he wanted to play out of state.

Yeah he said himself he left because he wanted to be the feature back and he wanted to be "the guy.".

Take that factoid and use a little bit of deductive logic. He obviously didn't feel like he was good enough to be "the guy" here, but he did think he could be that in Arkansas.

I'm fine with that. I don't want someone on my team who is scared to compete for playing time or who doesn't have the self confidence to know they are the best.

Give me ****y mother****ers like quan muhammad all day.

Did he say that? If so, then you have an argument. Still don't agree with the "lacking self confidence" part though.

Can't be serious...

Alex Collins would not have gotten any PT if both he and Edwards was here together..... he's not as good as you fantasized. not even close.

C'mon man.

lol the funny thing is you cant validly explain anything about Alex Collins that would suggest he is a better running back then Gus Edwards.... the truth is he's not.

He did say that. Look I'm not saying Collins wasn't a good athlete, but he knew he wasn't going to beat out Duke as the feature back. It is what it is.

Besides, come on man, if he really just wanteto "get out of state," why the **** would you go to arkansas? If he picked southern cal or something I might buy that.

Didn't read. Don't want to hear about that f.aggot or his bloated pimp Guntwood unless it's a story about them getting hurt or raped by a warthog.

Are you all seriously re-hashing the same old Alex Collins argument? He is NOT a Miami Hurricane. This is not the off season Canes. Plenty to talk about regarding our team, our players, and our commits.

He's faster, quicker, more agile, more powerful and has better vision. But other than that...
