Article: #1 Booker T. Washington at #6 Norcross Live Updates

Is Ice still a bad coach?

You're way too emotionally invested in this, Pete. No bueno.

I agree with this but alot of people throw sh*t at pete and some of what he says. And when they call him out its cool.

He called out some guys but then gets this. Not saying he is right but I guess no matter what he cant win, lol...

A lot of people throw **** at the best journalists and information gatherers. I realize this is a message board, but it's also Pete's playground to grow as a Pro. The dude has a serious future and everyone here is offering feedback that benefits him.

Pete...you're a lot better poster when you don't let your personal feelings direct your posts.

I've said this multiple times, you're good at getting information. Good at writing articles. Stick to that. As for your evaluation skills...well...they're subpar.

/Oh, and Ice is and always has been a good coach.

This is fair feedback and it's appreciated. Pete seems to get amped and that's understandable.

I can see where Pete is coming from though. He goes out, talks to recruits and coaches every week. He knows these people. So I'd get a little misted up about message board geeks blowing up these imaginary fueds out of proportion with important local pipeline schools. Especially when half of it is coming from the site he writes for.

Never good to antagonize the people you write for.

Especially considering the circumstances around the whole Booker T fiasco.

JMO.

We have a winner. & while Pete gets held to everything he says, the message board posters flipping & flopping with the current hype.

Message board geeks are readers. Emotional attachments bring to mind bias. Readers are less likely to trust information they feel is biased.

Bingo.

The constant caping for Treon, Q. Flowers and the BTW staff needs to stop.

It's unnecessary.

Thing about Chad Thomas is you can tell he doesn't hit the weights hard. His arms have almost no physique, no raw looking muscle tone.

Now just imagine how much stronger he will get when he is on the U Tough regime. He can end up being a pretty big dude.

And with Chris Herndon, he def fits more of the big WR part. Huge Arms and Legs. Dude hits the weight room hard. You would probably think he's already in college given how in shape and big he is.

Someone brings it up but they're not allowed to discuss it like everyone else? Especially when posters are seeking their opinion....Lmao.

Regardless we are getting off track, the sentiment posed before the game was that all these miami teams were poorly coached. Do the posters that agreed with that still feel that way? Granted, it was only one game but it's a sign of things to tell.

Finally someone who agrees with me I've said the exact same thing from the get go, give jackson or harris a chance and this could turn out to be a potentially bridgewater caliber player with toughness at the qb position

Chad Thomas man..the guy's big off-season program was PUSH UPS! He's gonna leave Miami looking like Pierre-Paul.

Enough Pete talk please.

Anyone know when Trent Harris plays? I would love to see what he brings to the table with these two animals from Booker T.

Golden floods weaknesses, it seems. From the days of Mike Williams to our current Cornerback situation. From last year's DE crew to....

I expect Darling will do a damned good job, or at least as good as can be expect on The Kracken. I'm still floored that there are guys like Ingram and Ferby at these big programs that seem to be slipping through the cracks.

A kid like Ingram I would take and try to make a DT...if not, maybe center. Either way he'd make the team better in practice. Ferby is just a big physical guy that you try at running back (who doesn't like a big bruiser, and we need to replace Hagens) and if it doesn't work out try him as an edge rusher. Both have the right mentality on the field. This is of course all without knowing about their grades.

Ingram is apparently closer to 5'11/6' than 6'2. We already have nick Linder committed for center & brought in hunter knighton last year. Alique terry was another guy we looked hard at but passed on.

Take him at Miami or you talking smaller school? If a smaller school I agree, if Miami no.

I mean lets not carried away with this stuff. Ingram played a **** of a game but he looks like he's about 6'0", 280. Scholarships are extremely valuable, you can't just give them out to kids that played a good game.

I mean I don't mind some of it but don't come on a Miami board, that you write for, and tell me Genron is a good guy.

For real. Our biggest issue to me last year was the edges. Uh yeah, its been addressed.

Thing is, that kid is clearly several inches taller than Treon Harris. So if he's only 6'0", Treon's probably 5'8" tops. I'm thinking he's had a growth spurt since he was measured by these websites saying he's under 6 feet.

Yeah, I guess my thinking is this: what matters almost as much as everything else put together is how a kid plays on a big stage in a big game. I know that you don't want all your DTs to be short, but if I can add a guy who can play and steps up in these huge moments, I think I make an exception.
