Good lord!
If he gets his technique down early, like Bain did... that natural lifting strength is going to make people turn their heads.
I can't wait for practice.
Good lord!
Jones may see the field sooner given his insane bench and squat numbers. Mario was saying 400 and 600 respectively which is crazy strong as a HS senior. His get off will deliver more force than even most experienced P5 OL see. He’ll need to work on his technique but can probably get away with a straight bull rush in most cases.
I believe Scott has the higher ceiling but will need some development. We should see him more and more as the season goes along.
We don’t even need a Bain type impactIf Scott makes a Bain type jump look out. Opposing OLs are going to be a deep trouble early.
We don’t even need a Bain type impact
I’m hoping he can be close to Ed Oliver freshman year
If we get that this team is making the playoffs
Nah Scott is even higher ranked than himThese types of guys are so rare. I just don’t think we should expect anywhere close to this from Scott or Jones or any of the freshmen. If it happens amazing. But it is far more likely it won’t.
I think Jones and Baron (especially Baron) will make Bain even betterNah Scott is even higher ranked than him
It’s time to start expecting this
I look around and see 5 stars making big impacts yearly even on dline
Breesee and Myles Murphy also made impacts as freshman at Clemson and Scott is higher rated than them too
they all will broI think Jones and Baron (especially Baron) will make Bain even better
I get what your saying but Breesse was like the #1 player In the nation his senior year. Murphy was also a DE and I think its easier for them to play earlier then the Dt position.Nah Scott is even higher ranked than him

I would want to be his friend. Geez…
The best part to me is that bringing in Blount, Scott and Jones in the same class means they will be pushing each other just to get on the field. We are finally at a point where guys have to work their as*es off just to see the field. That level of competition is the difference between competing against the UVA’s, and competing against the Bama’s of the world.Dude has totally reshaped his body in 7 months

Ed Oliver, as in 5 sacks and 22.5 TFL, Wd Oliver? Yeah, that is rare.We don’t even need a Bain type impact

True but I think with todays nutrition and more pass based game that our stud dts should contribute earlyI get what your saying but Breesse was like the #1 player In the nation his senior year. Murphy was also a DE and I think its easier for them to play earlier then the Dt position.
ExactlyWe go through waves where a few freshmen will do amazing things — the Bosas, Manziel, Herschel, Watkins. People forget they’re lottery tickets. And how many interior lineman provide Bain level contributions as first years?
If it happens, I’ll be ecstatic. But I’m not counting on it. Can Horton please get off the injured reserve list? Can Moten please take a big step and be a key contributor as a third year guy? I’m much more hopeful one or both of those happen to solidify the DT room in 2024.
Regardless, the future is bright.
I’d say given everything they were asked to do, Bain and Duke Johnson probably had the best freshmen seasons I’ve personally seen as a fanWe go through waves where a few freshmen will do amazing things — the Bosas, Manziel, Herschel, Watkins.
