I get it, but u rotate WRs when u have quality depth. Miami did not have quality depth. Trader, Joseph, Kirk, Robinson, Ray Ray and Carr were the backups. 2 of them, Trader and Chance, dealt with injuries all through offseason camps and probably lingered into the season. Besides the top 4, there were no good 2nd years to get burn. The young WRs not getting burn is an indication of the talent in the room and also letting the freshman develop, bc if the coaches felt like they could have contribute they would have played. We lucky we didn’t have any injuries.
The last 2 recruiting classes have been better though. The coaches should lean into the young guys, but they should also get a veteran WR1. As long as the young guys step up, the room will be good. A healthy CJ Daniel’s is reliable, JoJo, WR1, and I’m sure 1 or 2 out of Ny Carr, Upshaw, and Toney will hold down that slot position.
