Arky State?

I just dont understand why Miami would play a home and home with Arky state. What does this do for Miami? I guess the admin doesn't have to pay some team like Arky state to play in Miami. Paying teams to come to your stadium is getting expensive which sucks if your fans are also not showing up to the games. I just think Miami could have found a better home and home.

Play Arkansas State, Toledo, Memphis, FAU and any other clown whenever they want, but not at their place. Again, give them a nice payday and let them crow about playing the U. Just makes no sense to give them a home and home. This is what separates also-rans and other folks from the SEC. You play your mandated conference schedule, play a home-and-home or neutral site game with a national team (think Alabama-Virginia Tech) and load up the rest of your schedule with home games against whoever wants a payday. You don't trek to Little Rock or wherever Arkansas State calls home.

I wouldn't play Arkansas State just because there's no point in going to Arkansas, but I have nothing against scheduling a cupcake. I think the whole NCAA is getting away from paying patsy teams to play a home game it's not just us.

We should try to play some rinkydink school in Georgia or Louisiana or California or Texas, somewhere with recruiting advantages. ******* Arkansas has none of that.

So word on the street is that Miami and Arkansas State have scheduled a home and home? Coach Bryan Harsin announced it on a local radio station this morning.

Maybe we can finally see that kid that committed to Coker but ended up playing minor league ball.

I feel like the gap between the SEC and the ACC not only is financial but it's also the competition. SEC teams don't have stretches in conference play where they play Wakes, BC's Virginias and Georgia Techs in a row. If we start scheduling lighter, we'll win more, but it'll get harder and harder to beat the best teams.

I know that right now we're not ready to be playing schedules like we used to. Maybe we need to get some double digit wins to show the recruits and get better to be able to play top teams OOC every year. But until then I don't think Miami will get on the level of a top SEC school playing **** all the time. Its a tough game of give or take.
