Arizona vs Kansas State

He's not a real QB. He's a runner who can throw.

Straight system QB. Fits perfect in the Pistol Offense that's predicated around the Run with QB Mesh options.

But is not a pure QB & if you got down by a 2TD deficit & needed him to put the team on his back driving the length of the field throwing while the Defense sits back in Drop 7 coverage, you'd be S.O.L.

You can win with him if you have a strong run game & good Defense though.
Yeah that's exactly what I'm seeing. I mean, I'm trying to be light on him because he's young but that's just his mold. He's not going to change much. He can make the simple throws but I haven't seen anything impressive that makes me want him here at QB. At all lol.

Wow, what happen to Arizona? Did they lose a lot of guys from last years team? I know the staff gone but I thought they would be better then this
They're a 1-man Offense.

Plus they lost Ephesians Prysock & DJ Warnell & it left a crater sized chasm in their Secondary.

I also gotta think them going cheap and hiring the San Jose State coach was a huge f up. Dude has a losing career record

No one wins big at SJSU, and his first three years were dreadful, which is the reason why his record looks bad. Too many fans look at the overall record, instead of at the product produced. Brennan is a solid coach, that won despite having minimal resources and support. He built a middling midmajor at SJSU, which is better than where they've been for most of the last century.

Brennan also is likely the best they could do at the time, because of timing. Fisch screwed them, it was late in the cycle and with U of A's financial issues, they weren't going to go after a hot candidate. They need a solid bridge, someone that could build on what Fisch had started. Brennan is a solid hire, but U of A is likely going to revert back to a 7-8 win per year program, at least until they figure out WTF they want to do financially.
