Arik Gilbert to LSU

“I can’t understand how a kid wants to go play for an unreal offence in a city/state that loves football with a huge group of NFL Alumni and has NFL level facilities and coaches ” - Morons

You wouldn’t have to pay me a dime to play for LSU over Miami right now.
You wouldn't have to pay anyone a dime to play at l$u over Miami right now. That's why they aren't. They are in fact paying them to play there over baga and uga though.

Their TE has 14 catches for 201 yards and 1 TD. Stop embarrassing yourself
You must not follow recruiting. Gilbert has stated in the past that he intends to play some WR at the college level. He isn't a traditional TE, he wants to be used like Jimmy Graham.

He's Uber talented he'll eat more than the TE's they have now.

LSU has Jordan Burch #2 ranked player on 247 , on campus this weekend. This is another kid not associated with LSU much but he's at LSU this weekend.. Most people think he ends up at either Clemson, South Carolina or UGA. But he is taking his first OV to LSU and was there unofficially, and apparently quietly., this past spring....

Ol' Ed is giving Dabo, Kirby and Nick a run for their money $$$ this cycle.....

Seems like open season $$$$$ this year, it's a shame we can't figure it out. I figured Manny would of gotten some direction from Dad.

From LSU 247 reporter:

"I’m hearing true freshman tight end Arik Gilbert is “really, really homesick” as a source put it, and LSU is fighting to keep him from heading back to Marietta, Ga.

While at home during the pandemic, sources tell me Georgia let him know he had a permanent home in Athens and that could be something to watch. Another source told me "some coaches have stayed in his ear and the chatter has grown louder" after the season LSU has had. However, the word that has come up the most is homesick with the effects from the pamdemic a factor.

In nine games, the 6-foot-5, 251-pounder grabbed 35 passes for 368 yards and two touchdowns. Both marks lead all current Tiger receivers and the two scores ranks second, so the day 1 starter has been targeted often by LSU quarterbacks."

Hmm, Kirby would NEVER tamper.......

So, looks like he is either "opting out" or taking some kind of personal leave for now. Could eventually end up as a transfer - likely will, in fact. But Orgeron and staff are trying to keep him.

Oh, and the Tiger tears are unbelievable- their board is in a melt down right now.
