Are we recruiting a punter? srs question

There were two grad transfers at punter: one was Pat O'Donnell, who was really good, still in the League I believe. The other was also pretty good for us , but I forget his name. Vogel was a RF or Soph transfer from the Turds, he wasn't bad either. Can't believe Rick didn't consider it. Suppose he's just mailing it in at this point?

PAT O DONNELL. Dude was a legit beast. Honestly would say we won 1 or 2 games because of him and his ability to turn field position so well.

For the love of god, go find someone half as good as him and we'll be ok. Otherwise Feagles will easily cost us 1-2 more games

It pained me that I had company over for the game and couldn’t yell at the tv the way I wanted to, but **** Zach Fearless

Because Richt is clueless when it comes to special teams. UGA warned us that he ignored special teams for 15 years.

Fecies kicks an on side punt like nobody else . What are you *****ing about . His 3 yard punts really changes the game for us .

Some of yall are just ridiculous! Baxa is a STUD. Kickers taking deep breaths is so common. Had he walked up there, not collected himself then shanked it.... you would be complaining. Come on. Go look at his film. His high school coach put him in really dumb situations... like trying to kick a 60... maybe 70 yarder... not the kids fault. Sit back and watch he will be just fine! High school is so different for specialists and that is why colleges rely on camps. Camps are nasty competitive. Also, no doctor was brought in to talk to him. Where do you get your info? UM has a psychologist on staff and any player can go at any time. Just stop. First game stats are pretty good!!! I have no comment on Feagles.... he has to be better. Field position REALLY hurt us. On to Savannah State..........

Can’t believe we took a kicker who was 4-10 and a punter who’s net was like 33 yrds. I never thought I would be envious of other teams kicking game

Bruh... I didn't even realize I was envious of other teams kicking game until you just said it. Now I'm looking at kickers come out like its a ******* steak dinner. Our kickers come out and its like returned Taco Bell because I didn't even want it that bad to begin with.

No problem with Baxa but I cant believe we still have Feagles punting and we don’t have any qb targets for next year

Seriously.. How the **** is a kicker who went 4-10 kicking for a top program?

You have to look at the context of his attempts. I believe 8 of his 10 attempts were from 45+yards, which is ridiculous for a high school kicker. The staff at his high school preferred to go for it on 4th down inside the redzone, preferring touchdowns to field goals. I mean if he was 8-10 in high school but 8 of his attempts were inside 30 yards, he would not be getting a scholarship offer from anybody. You don't recruit kickers based on their statistics. You recruit them on their raw kicking ability. I He was a consensus top 5 national kicker for a reason.

Also, the reason coaches care more about kicking camp results than in game kicking results is because most high school special teams units are garbage. It's rare to get a good snap and good enough blocking on a long field goal attempt. At the camps, you get a good snap and a good hold and you can show your actual kicking ability without having to rely on some backup highschool lineman to long snap.

Took me a day or two to think about it, but I remember the name of the other punter that Frauden brought in as a grad transfer: it was Dalton Botts. Kid had a cannon for a leg. IIRC he spent some time in the league also. Rick's ignorance about Special Teams may have cost us this game. It's such an important facet of the game. Don't believe it? Ask Frank Beamer how many games over the years were won by his special teams' contribution. Maybe even a few were against us.

How about we try out Jack Spicer first...you know THE BACKUP PUNTER THAT CAME FROM UF.

I agree with this especially with an easy game coming up, let him get some punts in vs Savannah State

A sports psychologist was brought in this past week because Baxa was so god awful in practice. That should tell you enough, he’s got the yips in kicking. Feagles hasn’t had a good punting game since he got here.

Not sure if they brought in a sports psychologist for Baxa or not, but I have it on good authority that Uncle Willy brought in a Choreographer to Tuesday’s practice to deal with FSPoo’s lackluster effort.

We don't need to recruit a punter to get better than what we have.

Suit up a cheerleader - instant improvement - and rushers won't be able to crash into something so pretty.

Win/win.

Have you seen our cheerleaders? A few can play DT............

Get off Baxa. He went 1-2, and the miss was tipped (at least the LSU DL thought so). I know we’re all disappointed but the PK wasn’t one of the problems last night. Another legit candidate or two for competition would be good.

Feagles, on the other hand, I don’t understand how he wasn’t given any competition.

I’d have had at least two recruiting assistants assigned to nothing but finding punters and kickers.

yea, #76 for LSU got enough of it to push it just off course.
