are the miami southridge kids going to live up to the hype?

The ridge class is no where near where that mnw group was as far as ranking and hype.

Rankings and Hype, those kids would have been incredible college players if not for Shannon!!! They crushed everyone in high school. Jacory was calling his own plays.

or do you guys fear that this could be like the 2008 recruiting class with all of those miami NW kids?

That class got ruined by coaching...I will always stand by the opinion that Shannon derailed what could have been a decent career for Jacory Harris

I dont know bra, i do agree though that coaching f*cked up with the Robert Marve and Jagaga Harris competition. Marve should have never been pulled out of the football field shortly after he led us to 3 pts vs FL in 2008. We had momentum and Marve's confidence was picking up. Bad coaching imo. Hence, Jagaga got the red carpet treatment from Shammin (Shammin was really close with his dad) and it was downhill for Marve from that moment on. Granted, Marve had his issues (of the field), but I can assure you that Shammin was bias towards jagaga. A close source to the situation (hint- 4* LB from that 2008 class) validated this from personal experience.

Why did Marve continue to suck **** after he left here and got away from Shannon?

That NW team seemed like they were together since childhood. Isn't the ridge just collecting really good transfers from the area?

They are individuals.
Just because they play in the same high school doesn't mean you judge them as a group.
Some will develop...some won't.

We should've never taken all of those kids from MNW. Even some of UM's coaches thought it was a bad idea. A few of them were "must takes" but we certainly didn't need Jones or Thompkins. We also could've done without (either) Aldarius Johnson or Tommy "One Trick Pony" Streeter.

Too be honest, I don't think you take more than 4 from 1 school. I think UF did the same with Lakeland but the got two beasts on the online with the Pouncey twins and Rainey was solid. The thing is players get too complacent. You need to foster a competitive environment. Adalrius wasn't intimated by Thompkins and Streeter, he should of worked harder. I mean he did get passed up by Benjamin, Byrd and Hank but still. That was a great MNW team but in a lot of cases having stack hs squads like that can stagnate development.
