Are Palm Beach players underrated?

Definitely, and I also think PB has made a rebound at least compared to 3-4 years ago. Seem to all be fluctuating to one team though (West Boca)

I know if you would do a tri-county top 50 at the moment…You would probably have double or more the amount of kids from PB than you did a few years back

On a side note…also worth noting you would have as many or likely more playing in PB than you would playing at a Dade HS at the moment…. So many Dade players seem to be playing in Broward? (And also just not a great senior class for Dade HS seniors…Got a few that transferred to CC. No one at NW, and the Central talent seems to be all underclass outside of 1 or 2 kids). I mean outside of Lennear and then Hypolite, the best senior currently playing in Dade is a transfer from England

It gets overlooked, but the tri-county area is becoming one big district in everything else, so expect similar to occur with athletics.

Demographics is always a factor. How many families are moving in/out, and from which ethnic background. Also, one of the previous posters mentions good point about the Muck.

It’s so many people from the Muck in the Orlando area they’ve had at least two of their combined high school class reunions in Orlando.

Definitely seems to be better than 3-5 years ago…I'm saying there were times in the late teens and early 2020's that if you made a top 25 tri-county list (and I have lol) there would be 0-1 PBC players on there. Last couple years quite a few are on those lists…

This. They do have Suncoast. Last great player came from there was Devin Hester. Palm Beach Gardens and Dwyer got their fair share of talent from riviera.

I agree with this take, if you can ball you can ball. It will never be your fault if the competition is bad, but that doesn't mean someone who came from better comp will be the better player.

1. Love AR but obviously biased. I say the same about my area I grew up in. You can always point to a few that made it and a few "what could have beens"
2. for the rest of the country and honestly probably half of Florida, they see no difference in Palm Beach and Miami Dade, they see south of I4 on the east coast and to them it is one big area, only people in SFLA understand the nuances.
3. If you can ball you can ball. I think the level of comp gets overlooked a lot now by recruiting services as they seem to base a lot of their evals on physical attritubtes and with so many camps a kid could be playing in anchorage against seals but if he is 6'4 240 running a sub 4.4 40 he is being highly ranked.

Bait taken. South Florida’s depth has slipped, enough that I wrote a whole story on the decline.

But the four best players in college football last year were from Miami-Dade County.

Just go back to the days when Jack Daniels was at Dwyer he got most of the Riviera kids and they would always be one of the top team in the state. Palm Beach has plenty of talent just really spread out now and a lot is being sent to Aquinas, Heritage and now Newman is getting some of this talent with Jack now at Newman.

Yes, very much so.

It’s a combination of a lot of different things tbh.

The main consistent issue since forever has been media coverage.. Broward and Dade gets all the coverage. Just look at recently up-and-coming 305sports.. they cover all things Broward and Dade sports.. but they and many forget Palm Beach is also South Florida and never mention us.

We need our own media shinning light on us here. And big tournamentevents held here

West Broward has a bunch of broward kids. They have a ton of pompano eagles. But i do think palm beach is talented.
